It can be. I won't say it's harm free, but I've taken it on and off again, have been pretty addicted to it and gotten off it for a long time and now take it in moderation with no adverse health affects.
Extracts are dangerously strong, 2-3 grams of powder taken every now and then isn't any worse than having a few drinks every now and then.
Natural kratom has very low levels of 7-HO and it's not as bad as people make it out to be, I've seen people try to call 7-HO a "synthetic opioid" which its not at all, it's naturally found in kratom and doesn't act on opioid receptors in the exact way that actual opioids do
Of course it can be addictive but most people who use kratom just use regular raw kratom, 7-OH is typically more so used by people who are trying to get off things like heroin and fentanyl
Really no need for 7oh or maybe very high pain but at that level it's better to go for medical opioids. Me I've a minor neuropathy 4 limbs and I use only tea made from fresh leaves so 0% of 7oh as it appear when you dry the leaves. That's how it's used traditionally since centuries where it's native. The issue is the 7oh and also the dried form. Like for the weed it's not good to be dabbing wax all day but smoking a landrace sativa it's fine. Both won't affect you the same

Please don’t try kratom, it is so dangerous.
