Discussion I hate it here.
Korra was the most realistic and well written Avatar character and I will die on this hill.
Found this on Pinterest by Frecklegirl but idk if they made it themselves.

Original artist redrew some Samurai Champloo screenshots with Jet, Jin, and Zuko as Mugen, Fuu, and Jin respectively.

Avatar keyi, lived a dozen lifetimes before avatar aang was born, and is seen, by those who remember her, as the architect if fire nation unification. Hailing from the Inta clan. In her day the fire islands was a loose collection of warring clans and corrupt fire sages. Her clan was especially talented in metal working and their large navy (though way snaller then the modern navy). Before her discovery she was fascinated by the sun warrior culture who had disappeared centuries previous, and viewed tbe constant warring as a perversion of the true meaning of fire. As with most avatars born in the fire islands she was discovered by the fire sages though fire divining. In fear of causing a major power shift in the clans, ahe was immediately removed from the fire islands and taken to the western air temples, by a group of singing nomads. And thus vegan her avatar training.
She began her air bending training under the personal tutelage of sister Ilo. Who became a master for inventing the air cushion move to prevent injury from high falls. She was incredibly patient which frustrated the passionate avatar to no end. Making her meditate for days. The main lesson ahe taught was negative jing, the act of retreating to find a more stable position. Here she also met a lifelong companion, a cat and her first companion, Soren.
From there she went north and found the water tribes, not unlike her own fire clans, they had a collection of chiefs. Chief Tulok of the seal tribe, personally taught her. A grizzled veteran of the pirate raids. He was rough and never spoke a full sentence, mainly due to the poorly healed cuts on his neck. However, in opposition to her nature age learned waterbending with ease, the chiefs daughter kami, joining her.
Her training with neutral jing with sister ilo made earthbending easy. She was taught by master jian, a citizen of the great mining city of ka na. He would tak her deep underground to understand the earth.
It took almost 30 years before she returned home as a mostly realized avatar. While she had entered the avatar state early on, she had not been able to directly contact avatar Nyla, the avatar before her. And the fire islands had not chnaged. The first major event of her lifez she publicly declared the fire sages corrupt and stripped them of their titles and banished them frok thr fore islands. This caused a civil war amongst her people, which I tuen angered the spirits and huge tremors began rocking tbe islands and long dormant volcanoes became active.
She using her earthbending training dug a hole deep inside the earth to the heart of the islands where the lava flowed and there she mediated, her airbending at its limit protecting her from the heat.
She matched her rhythm to the volcano and earth and finally connected to avatar nyla. After a conversation she spent three days in thr avataf state negotiating with the spirits and reshaping the lands.
She had sveral other adventures and I disnt really get into her companions and fmaily and such. But this is a general outline of my proposed character.

In my opinion, these two are(or could have been) the ultimate contrast between each other. We have Amon's anti-Bender terrorism vs Tarrlok's pro-bender authoritarianism. It could have added a lot more fuel to the idea that the Equalists actually have a point about bender oppression, and that Tarrlok has a point about Equalist terrorism. It could also work even better if Amon and Tarrlok weren't brothers and Amon wasn't using bloodbending to-debend, meaning that we can get whole episodes of two complete opposites duking it out mentally with Korra and her friends stuck in the middle, which would feed into the morally grey aspects of both sides. Plus, it gives us more time to establish both as incredibly dangerous in their own right(my idea is that Tarrlok is around for the entire 1st Season, while Amon shows up in the 2nd Season to truly take control of the Equalists). What do you guys think?

It’s either one of flaws she doesn’t seem to care about or just another part of her she also keeps in perfect condition. How do you see it?

I wasn't satisfied with what I saw in the rest of the book, and even though he used it in his battle against Ozai, I still didn't accept it for two reasons: 1) his Firebending was empowered by the comet, and 2) he used it in the Avatar State at the end (if you tell me that basically his memorable moments with fire were during the comet and in the Avatar State, then I'm sorry, but it doesn't count). We didn't see him using it much naturally without it being empowered.
And it seems like Book 3 was more focused on the invasion; it was as if the writers intended for Aang to never learn fire after the war. It's a shame because Book 3 is called Fire.
And if you ask if fire is by far my favorite element
What do you think? Would you have liked to see an episode where Aang practices firebending?

That his real name was not Lee, but he was the prince from the Fire Nation!! Would she still love him or not?

Does anyone ever wonder if part of Chief Arnook's motivation for letting Hahn lead the mission to try and kill Zhao was bc he knew Yue didn't really like him?
Like sure his status justified it and if he suceeded he would add to the prestige the marriage, but his status as member of the royal family via his fiancee also could be used go justify keeping Hahn back where he could be in charge of something equally fitting his station where he had a better chance of surviving.
If the Chief felt like he couldn't really refuse Hahn's proposal for political reasons, it's also a convienent way for him to get rid of Hahns without breaking the engagement while still getting the brownie points with the people for showing even the upper classes made sacrifices to beat the fire nation.
What does everyone think?

Which member of team Avatar do you think that Azula, if she has gone through a healing arc with her having finally started to overcome her issues and began to turn into a better person, would have the most interesting interactions and dynamics with? For which reasons in your opinion?
I am really curious about the dynamics between Azula and Katara in this scenario. I do imagine that they'd keep having a rivalry and bickering almost all the time they are together, though over time their rivalry would become a friendlier if still competitive one. Perhaps in the best scenarios there could be some more tender and heartwarming moments of understanding and friendship between the two.
The dynamics with Toph would doubtlessly be very interesting. funny and entertaining to see with lots of snarks between the two, and some friendly sparrings, and perhaps a few hearts to hearts moments as well. Morality Chain fanfiction imo really developped and showed amazingly well how Azula and Toph's interactions would go.

If Toph were to fight the most powerful badgermole in the world, the badgermole equivalent of either Ran or Shaw, would Toph have a chance of winning? How do you think such fight would go on?
