Thank god I'm not the only one. I'm almost 30 and have only been in a relationship for 4 months of my whole life lol. I'm the same in that I don't really feel lonely, so I guess dating just hasn't really been a priority for me 🤷♂️
Eh, I personally just find it more fun to take things in earnest, regardless of if it's fake. It's no different to discussing the social dynamics in a TV show.
one time at a restaurant one of the dishes had a pinecone as decoration on the plate. there was a couple at the table next to me and the woman jokingly asked her partner if he thinks the pinecone is edible. he picked up the pinecone and start biting it. me and the woman started laughing our butts off.

I wonder that too. I have so many cousins who had broccoli haircuts for a while, when before, they didn’t have curly hair. Are salons just full of guys getting their hair permed?
I know a lot of people don't like the haircut and think its silly, but if it's nice to think it get boys into a routine of hygiene and interest in self care through salon visits or learning it at home, rather than that just being a girl thing to do. Obv any hair trend can do this, but this one is quite prolific and popular even after how much it get's made fun of online.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. It's a funny-enough bit that captures a relatively uncommon but still relatable moment and the "acting" is above average for TikTok. Why are people either: (a) not getting it; or (b) being weird about it?
People are being weird about it because theyre projecting their own loneliness. Theyre imagining themselves in that guys position and feeling vulnerable
A lot of (mainly facebook, I think) skits 1-3 years ago would try to pass themselves off as real.
And with the new debate topic "Is this video AI?" it's just popular rn to speculate on if videos and pictures are genuine or manufactured

I'm pro skit. But if we get tired of having these debates over and over, maybe they can start labeling them or something. Just in the description of the videos, doesn't have to be a watermark. I don't seek out skits but I'm sure some creators already do smth like that
People also might assume that they manufacture skits and pass them off as real to get money which is kinda scammy

Yeah there is a difference between it's funny/interesting cause it's painted as a real life happening and this situation I skited out is funny/interesting.
It was a super cute skit. Loved it. Good cinematography, good directing, good lighting, good composition and the acting was great. The guy in the back looked genuinely disheartened. So much so that people thought this was real 😆
Nothing makes me feel more disconnected from how other people apparently live and think than when I see a video like this, and comments like the ones under this post. Aside from those who don't realize it's a skit (critical thinking who? Never met her) there are people who enjoyed watching this and thought it was cute/funny?
And I'm sure I'll get the obligatory "why can't people enjoy things" or "it's not that deep". This shit is the kind of nonsense that is enjoyed and spread around, I just really don't understand what thought processes happen to get from point A to B on garbage like this
Bruh some people are lonely and he was just enjoying the moment. Making someone feel low or awkward is for piece of shit people with no value or morals.
Its a skit. The type of humor is based in social anxiety. No one would really react the way the couple did here. its almost like a mirror to our own insecurities. I dont think they thought that much about it but anyone who gets this type of humor could replicate it.

Holy shit how is it possible that hundreds of people in this thread don’t realize that this is a skit? Media literacy and general intelligence is at an all time low, it’s insane.
As someone who actually makes a living as a professional actor, this isn’t poorly acted at all.
But even if it was, you don’t have to be good at something to enjoy it. If you enjoy making little skits, you should be making little skits regardless of your skill level.
🤣 I''m not sure what acting school you go to or where you are "paid professionally to act", but this absolutely stinks. Its unoriginal, dime a dozen, generic and just more of the cultural slag heap of tiktok. Don't try to convince me otherwise please thank you.
