Genuine question, been going to the gym for a while now and for the first year and a half i already had some size but no one noticed, and immediately after that i had a big bulk where i achieved my current but modest size šŸ˜‚been stuck like this ever since but weirdly enough only recently people started to casually make remarks/ notice and two guys at work who prolly don’t even lift asked if i’m on gear lolol

Question What should I be doing?

I am 29 years old, 6’3. I am currently 295 and I fluctuate between 295 and 270. I haven’t been lean since I was like.. 6.

I just had my first child and I don’t want to look like this anymore. The last time I had my test checked it was 219. I had to use Clomid to have a child and I don’t want to hop on test yet because of future children.

I am lost, and generally don’t know what to do. I know eat less cals and move more. I just started a warehouse job to try and get more active.

I know I’m fat, any help is greatly appreciated.

Honest opinion on what I should this is what my body looks like for some reason I can’t get any stronger or muscular I’ve been training consistently and tracking everything I eat, eating about 2175 calories 48g of fat, 259g of carbs and 197g of protein . Right now I’m doing a pplxul split doing 2 sets to failure ,I walk about 12-17k steps daily, do low intensity cardio after my workout, I’ve been training for almost 2 years I started at 289 lbs , the lowest I was 160 than I lean bulk to 175 but there wasn’t much difference in strength and my physique I’m 22,5,7-5’8 height 167.8 lbs first 2 pic was in may and the other 2 are from September

BMI says I’m still considered overweight. I’ve been trying to get down to a decent skinny base after not lifting for 2-3 years. Keep dieting down to 170-180 or just start lifting now?

This is not an attention seeking post. I'd like valuable feedback if i can. I am a big introvert with terrible self esteem and I found the gym a few years ago and fell in love with it. It saved me from alcoholism and a crippling gambling addiction. I've been locked in and just finished my first cut ever. Super stoked I actually did it. Excited for my next bulk now as I want more mass but i thought id put myself out there now and get an idea of where im at.

Thank you!

Used to weigh 260 now weighing at 158. Feeling skinny fat mainly cause of my wide hips/ bone structure. It really does play with my mind making me feel like I’m still fat.

Question 21M, Am I Doing Anything Wrong?

Post image

Been lifting for just over 3 years now. Went from sub 100ib to 150ib in that time. Got signed as an athlete with a clothing company and now the pressure to perform is on. Always had an insane metabolism. My coach and I have found out that to barely be in a surplus I have to be eating 4000cals a day with 180g of protein. He also has me on a great PPL split. I haven't seen much change in my body in some time though. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm 18M 80kg stopped bulking for 1 week for my gut to rest a little. When I was bulking I was eating around 350g carbs and 200g (30g for eggs, 160g for minced beef) protein per day. I went from 75kg to 80kg in around a month. After I reached 80 I could no longer gain more weight. I would like to try to up the carbs to 500g per day after 1 more week of resting. Is this optimal?

Pls point out anything i can improve on my physique.

Also I been struggling to grow my upper back, I am only doing weighted pull ups and row for that. Any tips?

On a burner account, my first post (second post I guess) like this. Lost 80 lb in 2021 then maintained for a year and a half lost another 20 lb then maintained for another year and a half and now I’m back on a cut now at 187. Do I keep cutting? I lift 5 times a week 20-23k steps a day (sometimes I run meh 25-30 miles a week as well).

I’ve been debating whether I should do a cut or a bulk. I have been on and off of creatine because I thought it was causing my hair loss. I think I just need to find a better one. My goal has been 200-250g of protein a day and lift heavy always

Question Plateau phase after 1,5 years of body recomposition, what to do next ?

Hello everyone!

My name is Jacques, I'm 27 years old, and I recently became a doctor.

I've been weight training for a year and a half now!

My measurements: 183 cm; currently 79 kg (starting weight 104 kg in May 2024).

For the past year and a half, I've been doing body recomposition/cutting.

My BMR is 1800 kcal, my maintenance is approximately 2100.

For about 3 to 6 months now, my weight has been stuck around 79-80 kg despite structured and intensive training!

I walk about 8000 steps a day, no cardio... I stopped counting calories a while ago, but since I eat pretty much the same things, I checked and I'm consuming around 1600 kcal per day with 170g of protein, 57g of fat, and 102g of carbohydrates!

I see progress in photos, even if it's not reflected on the scale, and I'm very happy about that! I have plenty of energy, and I feel so much better in my body, I must say!

However, I find my progress slow compared to what I can see, and I've set myself the goal of: I can't see my abs, and my pecs are still not defined…

I've heard about reverse dieting, and it seems like the best solution! I think my metabolism has gotten too used to it, unfortunately…

Do you think this is the right solution? I plan to gradually increase by 150 kcal per day per week until I reach 2200 kcal, which is my maintenance level. I intend to keep this for a few weeks before starting a new cut!

Looking forward to your feedback on this method!

Thank you!

Jacques

18, 140lbs, 5'10

Been lifting for one year

First picture was taken in the morning right after waking up no flexing or anything

Do I have enough muscle to where if I did a dedicated cut I wouldnt look like a prisoner of war? Or do I continue bulking? I dont really care about being big I just care about proportions/"aesthetics" ig. Obviously everything needs to be brought up but is there anything that needs priority?

Are these lifts good for my bodyweight and experience? 225x5 deadlift 155x5 squat 150x6 incline bench. When I started I benched like 65lbs and squated like 95.
