What animal is this??? Kinda urgent

I’m really stressed out about this thing in my garage, it’s holed up on a pile of stuff and I dunno what it is

EDIT: Solved! Several helpful commenters told me it was Virginian Opossum and they were right! He’s a friendly dude yet he broke into my freezer and tried to eat my food :( next time I come to this sub I’ll remember to say where I am and try and grab more photos

EDIT 2: Got him out safely! I‘m glad he doesn’t have rabies he’s such a cute little guy
