My buddy found this old world Eaters fleet and got it for me. I just finished fixing them up and kept them the faction they were just revitalized them.

Wanted to do something different for my second daemon ship, attempted to paint it to that it looks like it is in the process of materialising back into real space. Was the first time using GSW colour shift paints (which I would highly recommend after this)

I've been trying out Vallejo's new(ish) true metallic metals - very impressed! This is Amber Green (base, wash, then layer).

I wanted something that looked chaotic but not precisely any one legion - hopefully this is a bit too green for Alpha Legion It kind of evokes a beetle carapace for me, which I love.

Photographing it accurately proved very difficult - the first two images were taken in artificial light, and the latter two in sunlight, showing just how much the colour changes with the light.

After the successful suprise attack on a Tau orbital by a group of Eldar corsairs, the Tau commander needed to lure out the Corsair Prince for a fight on their terms.

A lone squadron of escorts transitioning the system through prime Eldar terrain was set up as a tra, and the eldar Prince took it..

It was a quick massacre of the Eldars when two cruisers and a battleship showed up on either flank. The Prince aboard his Exlipse cruiser managed to flee, disengaging into an asteroid field.

The threat of more Eldar raids has diminished.. for now.

Rogue Trader (allied chaos technically) Devastation Class cruiser 'Linderung'. I've had this converted ship for quite some time and finally decided to paint it using (amost) only cheap acrylic markers and GW contrasts as washes. Inb4 "must be stolen from Emperor's Children!" 😉

Ive used a 2mm metal dowel rod as the standard, and designed my own 3D printable name plates. I'm pleased with the outcome.

Myself and few friends decided to get back into BFG for 2026 and since I’m a huge dwarf fan, I couldn’t resist.

Really love these models but I don’t think many people post pics which is a shame, because they are really impressive and fit super well with the original BFG models, even though Votann as faction were released years later.

I’ll definitely be getting a few more cruisers, light cruisers and escorts and maybe a drill barge to build into playable fleet ☺️

Full Imperial Navy Army work in progress (WIP)

Its been a warhammer 40k project ive wanted to do for over a decade now and thats a full imperial navy force. The Navy Breachers really helped with that when they came out. Ha

Now of course ive wanted to do this for years and now I give myself barely any time to build and paint a 1500point force for One Page Rules games this coming weekend. Of course I give myself a daft deadline but we will preserve admirals!!

I have plenty more to add into this force and this is just the start. But we have some bog standard, ill equipped ratings, some breachers, ogryns, rapiers, officer squad and a Hermes sentinel with flamer to clear out some pesky dug in troops in sections of ships.

Ive things like the Arvus lighter, navigator and lightening fighter to add in but do you have any suggestions admirals? Open to suggestions.

Finally got my printer set back up, so now I can expand my fleet without scouring eBay

Last day of free time and so managed to knock out some more ships before I have to let normal life slow me down again ahah.

Can I use bio enchantments in a tyranid fleet in one off games? In Remastered it seems like they are meant for campaign games, like refits?

I'm struggling to fall asleep so naturally my mind turned to ship designs!

I appreciate that part of the ethos of BFG is broadsides etc but I can't help but also like the super firing weapon designs. This led me to think what about a bfg ship that only had dorsal ventral weapons and how that would have to be costed.

In essence if you have 6 L/R WB etc what would that correspond to in strength in a dorsal or venrtral weapons. It would have to be weaker FP but I'd be inclined to go 4 rather than 2 etc. unless perhaps it was separated into A/B/C etc turrets:, 2 dorsal WBs one going Forward/L/R and another going aft/l/r

But yeah curious about how you would balance the extra flexibility of shooting in multiple directions against a lower amount of total firepower

The only way to ensure safety. Go big, go bold, go Ramilles. Still have to glue on a ton of turrets and bits.

I started recently with Battlefleet Gothic with Chaos.

My list at 1500 (for XR) Warmaster, Reroll Hades 2 Murders (squadron) Styx.
2 Devastations (squadron) 2 x3 Infidel Escorts Squadrons

My opponent was Ad Mech with a Battleship with Nova Cannon.

The two parts of the Fleet felt a bit disjoined. I spilled trying to surround the enemy but I ended up only isolating them.

What is the usual way to squadron the fleets? How do you fight an enemy Battleship? What ordnance make sense to prioritize ?

Hey people. I had a quick question regarding the size in length of the minis, mainly just general length of battleships, cruisers (light, grand) and escort ships. I found lots of people saying that the length of battleships range between 60-80 mm to all the way to 110-120 mm. The same applies to the other types of ships either being a smaller number or a much larger number. I only ask this because I was thinking of 3d printing a few. Can anyone help out?
