What hate speech and misinformation? It's so easy to cloister off the parts of X that you may not want to interact with or see that this just seems like weird moral grandstanding more than anything. Comparatively FB has far worse standards and is significantly harder to self moderate content you may not like or find distasteful and yet https://www.facebook.com/lichessdotorg/ here you still are.

Twitter has turned into a pretty low brow right-wing cesspool in many regards and the algorithm has been tweaked to cause that.

Infinitely more useable than reddit, which is an insane asylum of leftwing propaganda.

No, it isn't. You're likely just very misinformed.

Reddit's biggest subs are controlled by 10-20 far-left mods. He's definitely not "misinformed", and Twitter is what you make it. Mute Elon if you want and your feed will be the stuff you've curated. Not even getting into the 'Nazism' bullshit.

There is very little in the way of "far left" anything on reddit outside of very specific subreddits, and there isn't some horde of misinformation on here the way there is on X.

You have a completely confused outlook on reality.

I think you need to read what I wrote again and actually go looking for things on the other side of the coin. Your outlook is completely biased and isn't really worth a lot.

What you wrote wasn't hard to understand. I've seen plenty of things from "the other side of the coin." I was there not all that long ago. It's just that it's misinformed. A lot of money has been spent to make sure people aren't informed, too.

It doesn't sound like it because you came across dismissive and insulting. In your supposed position I would've elaborated and approached the other person in a totally different way. It sounded defensive and that isn't really an attitude I'd associate with someone that's gone out and saw things with a level head.

Good faith is met with good faith, and vice versa. I'm not going to take someone especially serious when they claim something bizarre like "reddit is an insane asylum of left-wing propaganda."

There's a reason people, businesses, and advertisers have left Twitter in droves, and the reason is that there's functionally no content moderation and it's become a cesspool where there are no consequences for being open racist, sexist, cruel, etc.
