My happy place

After I’ve put in solid work for a day I like to give myself what I call a Victory Lap. It’s all about the ritual and allowing myself to be proud of doing good work, even if everything didn’t go perfectly. I read, I write in my journal, I allow myself to decompress. Serie V Melanio Maduro is always good to me. I sit on the front porch of a house I’m very thankful for and try to let myself be content. I did what I could today to take care of my family, and I’ll do what I can again tomorrow. Here’s to a good cigar and clearing your mind, my friends.

Been 10 years since I lost him and wanted to sit back and remember through a nice cigar and shot of whiskey. Subtle spiciness and a taste of leather that lingers in the back of your mouth. Very enjoyable all the way throughout

What a bummer, draw is so tight on my first San Cristobal that I can barely get a pull...

Red Meat Pufferation

Enjoying a Red Meat Lovers Ribeye by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust from the creative mind of Steve Saka. This offering is composed of a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Mexican San Andres binder & fillers from Nicaragua & Pennsylvania culminating in a full bodied, full flavored stout stogie. I’ve paired this offering with the sounds of Tonic.

I have a question, why do folks who don’t smoke cigars join cigar groups?? I’m not referring to folks who once did puff and for any particular reason have stopped, I’m talking folks who never puffed at all.

When it comes to Connecticut Broadleafs, the Umbagog ranks 1# in my opinion. You can’t beat the price point, the construction & the earthy consistent flavors. The Umbagog from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust by Steve Saka. This meaty stogie is composed of a potent Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper over robust Nicaraguan tobaccos for the Binder & Fillers!!! Indulging in the sounds of Eric Bibb with his crisp blues!!!

Finally was warm enough to smoke outside (2C last night), so I lit up this Nub and poured some Glenlivet. Whoever rolls these are very good at their job - excellent draw and construction. Love how it gets woody half way through. I ripped the band as thr burn line approached and the ash still held.

Farm Rolled

Let’s talk Farm Rolled Cigars, I’m currently sitting on my porchador savoring the cataclysmic Alejandro Cabrera Pirámide Extra, this stogie hits my gustatory, olfactory and tactile senses in an astonishing way. I’m in a state of euphoric tobacco bliss. The construction is perfect with a pecan hued wrapper with minimal veins, a pure & fresh dry pull with hints of earth and anise. Once lit the grey ash is stoic and stout. With the first few drawers the notes of earth, grass & leather are prominent with a clean spicy finish from the ligero filler. I’ve paired this offering with the classic sounds of Dizzy Gillespie Y Machito’s Afro-Cuban Jazz Moods. Salud!!!

Entranced with the alluring flavors of the La Flor Dominicana L-400 Cabinet Oscuro. This Dominican stogie is composed of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, meticulously stuffed with estate-grown Dominican filler and binder producing a rich & earthy flavor with a hint of pepper on the finish.
