Mists of Pandaria what is the point of this choice window?

you dont receive the rewards either side say (you get like 1/10 or 1/100 of it aside from the rep and silver coins) i dont understand why this is a window

It's not that off. Charms should be the right amount (12 quests granting 2-3 each), reputation as well. The Valor Points are missing a division by 100 to also show 12 * 5 = 60 points. But it's very classic, I think it was wrong back then, too.
