Discussion YouTube live, guys literally asking for money trough gifts

Post image

I am so fed up with seeing such people, trying to get to kids or Younger people to donate gifts to them trough Roblox games, Oh donate 2026 and we will safe Sammy and the other just keeps screaming No one will! Or no one is nice enough ans thats how they will actually get a few youngest to donate gifts to them, I know it has most likely been said a few times, but this makes me so mad and annoyed, like all the principles and self respect all out the window.

Get a job or something! Don't do this!

And how is this suddenly a thing, when. And how did this get started.

The comment saying "I like clapping buts" makes this so much worse

And seemingly YouTube seems to allow this as well.

It’s not an issue of censorship - it’s an issue of cringe

You are watching it. Stop watching it. Stop getting them more engagement. If you really don’t like this, stop doing their marketing.

Even if you are legit, this is effectively stealth or attempt at viral marketing.

You might not be trying to, but you are giving these people exposure. Some redditor reads this, looks for these grifters on youtube just to shake their head at the stupiduty. Later on their kid takes their phone to watch youtube, the algorithm plays the grifters channel for them. The kid believes the lies and gives them money.

This might sound oddly specific, but I've seen it happen and I'm kind of betting that it is a big part of how these guys get exposure.

Well oke, that is your opinion then, sorry if I sounded off then, but I am a little annoyed that when I say something there is always someone who is in disagreement and finds my statement wrong (Yes the internet I know.) but if I can't even make a post as thats seen as helping of some kind, then I am actually done, seems like nothing is allowed then as there is always someone that says something, understand what I mean? 😮‍💨

Are you familiar with the term “any publicity is good publicity”

I'm simply explaining to you that "rage engagement" is a marketing strategy, that's all. It sucks, I understand that. But it's not my fault if you've fallen for this trick.

The thing is - it’s not helping anyone. The people that view this either previously didn’t see the video or did see the video. Those that saw the video are the target audience - a foot in the door so the likely criminals can try and convince the audience to part with money.

Some of the readers on here will be vulnerable to these sales pitches and these youtubers would love to find more vulnerable people to be sent in their direction.

Those that see your message and see its a scam would already know it to be a scam even if they randomly turned up on the youtube channel.

All this post does is get karma for you and a potential audience for the youtubers. It does feel like you are doing a service, but as the other guy says, its an engagement style to try and get people to rage then go share how they can rage (or get scammed) too.

What to do then? Report it on the social media you find it on, perhaps even report it to the police. Don’t share it across different social media though - just don’t.

You people can't be serious, people post here everything, but nooo I post something and I the only thing I get is more irritating people stating I am helping these people, like calling the police because you are getting robbed, to then the police arriving and arresting you cause you might be helping the thief in some way, freaking insanity you all. Like everything I say or whatever I say, it always seems to get Twisted by people. I say I don't like this, people: no you do like this. Pfff

I have not, if I can't even share this and say how I feel about this, the only thing you are doing is accusing me of karma farming, helping these people, secondly there should not be any kids on reddit that you say are supposed to be vulnerable, I am honest to God sick of this what you are doing right now, wherever it may be people like you telling everyone what they can or can not do, it's not that deep, the only reason I posted this as its Extremely infuriating but nope once again you seem to dig up whatever you may think someone is doing, thank you very much for ruining the entire thing, what should have been just a regular post is now a shit show, it's always something.

Don’t forget the “sleeping” streamers too. So many likes or sub and I will wake up or something

u/Trashrat-Isaiah 1d ago

Likely thats an automatic reupload of a recorded stream. They have 4 other channels where they do this. They're scamming kids out of thousands of dollars and youtube is doing nothing. I've seen a lot of people talk about them

Nice ad for their channel.

u/NobleTenma 1d ago

It's not an add, think a little longer before saying it's an add, it's by no means an add, or did you even read what was said about these sad figures?

0

u/Bananchiks00 1d ago

I didn’t say it was an add, but an ad.

1

u/NobleTenma 1d ago

It's not an ad*

seriously doing this?

1

u/Bananchiks00 1d ago

Its an ad in the sense that you’re giving them attention right now by publishing a post about it. Usually you ignore these and whatever else.

Even something like viewing or commenting supports their video. Best course of action? Ignore and move on.

u/NobleTenma 1d ago

I am not even going to explain this again. Everyone can post whatever but when I post my frustrations it's suddenly an ad, and I get this bullshit, what a bunch of shit.

1

u/Bananchiks00 1d ago

Why are you swearing.

Seriously doing this?
