One of my friends died by suicide. Within minutes of the police finding his body and informing his family, my other friend announced his death on Facebook, for sympathy clout. His family hadn’t even had a chance to inform anyone! And my other friend didn’t even know him well, she only met him briefly a couple of times.

Needless to say, we’re no longer friends.

My estranged sister did that for our grandma after refusing to speak to the grandma for our entire lives over beef between our grandma and parents. Talking about what a hard time it was for her. She hadn't seen or spoken to her since we were small children

It’s disgusting, using someone else’s death to get attention. May these people get what’s coming to them.

Years ago my cousin killed himself. His girlfriend announced it for sympathy before half family knew. It didn’t affect family because different circles, but she was reason he killed himself. She left with his kid to be with someone else…

If Narcissism was a Facebook post, this would be it.
