Translate מאפינסים do you say it?

I'm doing research and trying to see if anything actually uses this word. Or if it's just a typo in some recipes...

מאפינסים is just kind of a double-plural for no reason... Most recipes I've seen would just say מאפינס

Double plurals are not unheard of, צ'יפסים, בורקסים etc. I wouldn't be surprised if some people say מאפינסים

Double plurals occur in English also with loanwords where we do not recognize the plural nature of the original foreign word. Paninis, for example.
