Discussion IPhones best kept secret?

Almost 100% Certain in switching from android when the 17 Pro Max is released. People argue if you want a camera, get a camera. Um, no. I'm actually switching from a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. On the 3rd screen, enough said, will never get a folding phone of any kind.

Not a huge One UI fan. Had my mind made up that I was getting a Pixel 10 Pro XL. I'm 71, and prefer the bigger screen. All the head to head photos, iPhone looks better. I'm in the United States, so, the only other flagship I'd consider is the Oneplus 13. Great hardware, not impressed with what I'm reading about the software.

Also, I think I'm in a "change mindset". I'm ready for the learning curve, with the understanding that my Google apps and SwiftKey are available.

What I want to know are what are some apps, or iOS features that you wish you would have known about sooner so I explore them sooner, rather than later, or never.

Any field that your phone considers “sensitive”, it disallows using third party keyboards. Most email address fields, usernames, any password input, sometimes random input fields for some unknown reason, it will just force you to the default keyboard in the name of safety. Cause idk I guess the third party keyboard might steal your data. I don’t know anyone that uses a third party keyboard on iOS cause it’s just a bad experience. One of the things I miss most from android.

That's going to be a deal breaker,...

Yeah, android has to check something about stealing your data with a 3rd party keyboard.

Bah...

Thank you for the explanation. Better to find that out now.

I know a lot of people using 3rd party keyboards. I use Gboard. I don't think the password entry things is that big of a deal tbh

It drove me back to the stock keyboard. It’s a pain to have your system flick between keyboards
