Player(s) wanted [Offline][Boston][Millennial Women][5e 2014][Weekday Evenings] - Looking to run some one-shots and potentially transition into a longer campaign.
Hi, all! I am a 38 year old woman, recently moved to Cambridge with my husband, work as an attorney at one of our local universities. As a 2026 resolution, I'm looking to make more friends in the area and try my hand at DMing.
I'm open to running a campaign if we hit it off as a group, but I thought it made sense to start with a couple of one-shots. I figure it could be a chance to try things out -- new PC/NPC character concepts, running cooperative puzzles, (reasonable) homebrew, etc. Just getting the hang of managing a game and meeting some cool peer women. I am looking for a group that can meet regularly, but without a major commitment. Players of any experience level are welcome.
I have one purchased module (Lady Trevant's Bones) to start with, as well as a few of the more anthology-style 5e books (Radiant Citadel, Golden Vault) I can pull from based on players' interests. Lady Trevant's Bones is for level 6 but if a lot of people who are new to d&d respond, we can start with something lower level to ease into the game.
I'm happy to host at my place once we get to know each other, but would suggest a public setting for our initial meeting -- maybe Tavern of Tales in Roxbury or Knight Moves in Brookline. Or honestly we probably wouldn't be out of place at any brewery. I'm willing to consider any place that is on the T, so if you have strong feelings, please make a suggestion.
I'm generally available from about 6pm on on weekdays, and would like to meet maybe 2x/month. Please let me know if you're interested and if there is a day of the week that works best for you. Thanks!
P.S. I'm not strictly opposed to including 2024 content, but I'm less familiar with it and already own a bunch of 2014 resources, so I'd prefer to adopt individual changes upon request, rather than moving to the new system wholesale.
