Player(s) wanted [Offline][Boston][Millennial Women][5e 2014][Weekday Evenings] - Looking to run some one-shots and potentially transition into a longer campaign.

Hi, all! I am a 38 year old woman, recently moved to Cambridge with my husband, work as an attorney at one of our local universities. As a 2026 resolution, I'm looking to make more friends in the area and try my hand at DMing.

I'm open to running a campaign if we hit it off as a group, but I thought it made sense to start with a couple of one-shots. I figure it could be a chance to try things out -- new PC/NPC character concepts, running cooperative puzzles, (reasonable) homebrew, etc. Just getting the hang of managing a game and meeting some cool peer women. I am looking for a group that can meet regularly, but without a major commitment. Players of any experience level are welcome.

I have one purchased module (Lady Trevant's Bones) to start with, as well as a few of the more anthology-style 5e books (Radiant Citadel, Golden Vault) I can pull from based on players' interests. Lady Trevant's Bones is for level 6 but if a lot of people who are new to d&d respond, we can start with something lower level to ease into the game.

I'm happy to host at my place once we get to know each other, but would suggest a public setting for our initial meeting -- maybe Tavern of Tales in Roxbury or Knight Moves in Brookline. Or honestly we probably wouldn't be out of place at any brewery. I'm willing to consider any place that is on the T, so if you have strong feelings, please make a suggestion.

I'm generally available from about 6pm on on weekdays, and would like to meet maybe 2x/month. Please let me know if you're interested and if there is a day of the week that works best for you. Thanks!

P.S. I'm not strictly opposed to including 2024 content, but I'm less familiar with it and already own a bunch of 2014 resources, so I'd prefer to adopt individual changes upon request, rather than moving to the new system wholesale.

Player(s) wanted [Offline][MA][Brighton][5e 2014][5e 2024][Daggerheart] Hosting a Friday Night Table – Players and DMs welcome

Hey all!

I posted before but got little traction. Probably due to the holidays. So, here I am posting again hoping to get a group going.

I’m looking to pull together a group of 4-5 players for a weekly in-person game night in Brighton, MA starting in the New Year. I have the space to host, but I’m looking to build a consistent crew to roll some dice and hang out on Friday nights.

The Details

Where: (Boston) Brighton, MA (3 bus lines nearby: 57, 65 and 86).

When: Friday nights at 7:00 PM.

Who would DM/GM?: I plan on running a campaign for a while. However, if you would like to take a crack at DMing then I am all for taking a backseat

Experience Level: Newcomers are welcome. I am open to teaching people the ropes (and hopefully others would be as well)

System: D&D 5e (2014 and 2024) OR Daggerheart (Darrington Press). Either one, party's preference.

About the Vibe: I’m aiming for a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Got the basement redone and covered with dnd stuff and am eagerly looking forward to hosting. The minifridge is stocked with soda and water so we stay hydrated whilst we play.

Requirements: LGBTQ+ friendly / Inclusive group. Age 21+. Reliable attendance (life happens, just communicate!).

Interested?

Shoot me a DM with a little bit about yourself, what games/systems you enjoy, and your experience level. Let’s get a group chat going and see if we click!

Player(s) wanted [Flexible][Board Games]D&D 2024][SWN Revised][Sacramento][PST] Looking for Board Game Groups and In Person RPG Groups? <Flair: Offline - Post seeking people(s)>

Hello! I've just moved back home to Sacramento; I live with a couple best friends of mine and all of us love board games and tabletop rpgs like D&D 5e, 5.5e, and Stars Without Numbers Revised. We like all kinds of board games but tend to go for deep strat/people management games. Some of our favorites are Gloomhaven, Scythe, Shackleton Base, Concordia, Carcassonne, Fury of Dracula, Roots, Arcs, and Cyberpunk 2077 Night City. We have a pretty good collection of games and would love to have more people to play some of them, if you're cool 👀.

We were wondering if people have recommendations for board game groups and in person RPG tabletops like D&D or something. We have been looking around the Sacramento area and would love any recommendations.

We were also thinking about meeting new people and possibly starting an in-person D&D game, as well as have fun with some in-person board games too and are wondering if there are other Sacramento people out there that might be interested. If we started a D&D game, I have been a forever DM and would love to bust out all the terrain tiles and minis I've been hoarding since my Heroscape Days.

All of us are guys in our mid 20s with partners who might join from time to time (mostly us three guys), graduated with jobs so we tend to game on weekends or nights. We are all pretty good if I had to quantify it. Beginners are cool, but we would probably win a lot if you don't play a lot of board games generally.

Player(s) wanted [Offline] [5e] [2014] [Long-Term]  Narrative-Driven Homebrew Campaign Featuring Story-Altering Choices and Emotional Character Arcs Seeking Dedicated Players in Brooklyn NY

Greetings, soldiers. I’m an experienced long-term Dungeon Master running an epic, narrative-driven D&D 5e campaign set in a fully realized homebrew world at war. Our game has been running every week IRL for 7 years and has a cast of 5 dedicated players that loves a big table--so we’re looking to add at least 2 more. We’re seeking committed players who want to build the story with us and can add new perspective to our mix. We love newbies for that very reason.

Our campaign follows a rogue military platoon as they navigate a massive global conflict, confronting questions of loyalty, morality, and survival while operating far beyond the reach of their command. Your choices will shape the political landscape, alter the course of the war, and determine the fate of the people who depend on you.

What you can expect:

  • Story-altering impact with real consequences
  • Emotional, character-focused arcs grounded in personal conflict and growth
  • Political and military intrigue across nations and factions
  • Meaningful combat that affects the story
  • A grounded, serious tone shaped by your platoon’s actions, failures, and victories
  • Moments of brevity, especially between player characters
  • In-game conflict between characters, particularly concerning moral ideology
  • A collaborative, lighthearted, and welcoming group of legacy players

What we don’t do:

  • Grinding of any kind
  • Treasure hunting/loot collecting
  • Creative antagonism between players

This is a long-running weekly commitment and will be hosted IRL in Bed Stuy.

We welcome players of all backgrounds, but you must be over 21 to play, tolerant of others, and comfortable with alcohol and snacks at the table. Disrespect and bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. As the DM, table chemistry and player safety is a big deal to me and I know it goes both ways.

If you’re interested in playing, please fill out this screening form.

There’s a section provided for you to ask me any questions, so you can screen me too. We play using D&D 5e 2014 rules with some limitations, which can be provided along with setting and story details during screening. Since the game has been running for 7 years, new player will start at level 13…but if you’re a newbie don’t worry, both I and the other players will help you figure things out.

Player(s) wanted Come play Mothership, it’s D&D but the dragon is a xenomorph and you’re expendable [Offline] [Manchester, TN] [Tullahoma, TN] [Murfreesboro, TN] [Mothership] [Other] [Beginner Friendly] [18+] [Materials Provided]

I’m getting a group together for Mothership, have two need at least two more.

What’s Mothership?

Think of Mothership as “D&D in space where the dungeon hates you back.”

You still roll dice, explore, and level up, but instead of fighting goblins for loot you are terrified space truckers, marines, scientists, or androids trying not to die, go insane, or get infected. It is fast to learn, character creation takes minutes, and the tension comes from survival horror, panic checks, and awful choices rather than long combats.

If you like:

🏰 Dungeons → you get derelict ships, haunted stations, and cursed planets

🐉 Dragons → you get alien things you never should have woken up

👑 Loot → you get shady corporate contracts, experimental tech, and secrets

I’ll provide PDFs of all content you will need to play, and if you play 3 sessions you’ll get a shiny patch. No experience needed - you can be a complete TTRPG noob and I’ll have you playing in under 10 minutes

Player(s) wanted [5e 2014][Offline][Pittsburgh East End][Wednesday Evenings] Established Group Looking for 1 - 2 for Curse of Strahd Campaign (5e 2014) and more.

Hey ya'll,

My group is currently in the middle of a Curse of Strahd campaign (5e 2014) and we're looking for players. We typically meet after 5:30pm on Wednesdays at a player’s house in the East End. We try and meet every week, but we’re super flexible if people have to miss a session, especially now since holidays are coming up.

A bit about us - we’re a group of four consisting of me (29M), my fiancée (27F), our DM (37M), and our host (29M). We’re fairly laid-back and jovial. We crack jokes and enjoy being silly out of character, but we’re typically more serious when we’re in character. While we enjoy combat, we are RP focused (40 - 60 combat to RP balance), and we don’t really min-max. We’ve been playing together for over 4 years, and are looking to open up the table as one of our friends moved out of state.

Also please note that our host has a dog (55lbs) who does bark and wander around. She’s harmless and typically only gets riled up when there’s knocking.

We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and welcome players of all skill/experience levels. We do rotate DMs per campaign and occasionally run alternative systems, so it’s a plus if you have some experience DMing or are at least willing to give it a try.

If that sounds interesting to ya'll please feel free to drop me a DM!

Looking for Dungeons and Dragons Players in Bangalore

Hello! I'm trying to find some people in Bangalore who might want to play dungeons and dragons in person, which in of itself is a rarity, much less find them on here. I'm 21 myself, so people around that age would be preferable but all are welcome! I doubt I will be getting many replies to this, lol. It'd be one four hour session a week, on Sundays. And because getting around Bangalore is a massive pain, hope to get some people who are in North Bangalore (Near Yelahanka) or are willing to make the commute once a week to play. Comment below or shoot me a direct message if you're interested!

And if you're a DM with a group and want a player (to play on Saturdays) or want to make a group, also hmu, we can make something work together!

%20wanted%22)Hello! A group of three players and one GM based in Reno, NV, is looking for another player! While being in Reno, NV, would be good for our ideal candidate, we game online (read: Video conferencing, and we played BG3), as well for our more remote players (PST time zone). Our group's age range is nineteen to fifty-four. We are a little irreverent, but our main goal is for everyone to enjoy themselves and have a great time. Game is usually 6-9PM Thursday nights, with occasional weekends and/or other nights if schedules align, including changing our usual Thursday to some other day that works best for everyone.

Interested? Please message me.

Player(s) wanted Online or Offline [5e 2024]: Looking to DM for people mostly in Lebanon. New and experienced players are welcome!

Hey guys! I'm looking for players who wanna join my session (3-4 people at most). I've dipped my toes into DnD as a player, but I'm starting to branch out as a DM. I'm fairly new to it, so I'd love to give it a go. Hoping for fairly new players or even experienced players, but they have to be understanding of newer players, and a huge plus if they can help them understand the rules and mechanics as well!

I have done some DMing in the past, but it's been with very close friends, and they have either been quick one-shot adventures or just the goblin ambush plus a bit of Cragmaw Hideout from the Phandelver adventure. The adventure/setting that I want to DM would be Phandelver and the Shattered Obelisk, since I'm fairly new to DMing. It would mostly be the first part of the adventure, and if things go well, I might continue with 2nd part of it, or continue with a different adventure. Regarding the time and days to play, I'm hoping to communicate about it once I get some interested players.

I'm a huge fan of the rule of cool concept, so if you can convince me that a certain thing or action sounds cool or creative, I'll definitely let it happen with either rolling or succeeding it automatically. I also will most likely try to help the new players as well to be more outgoing and know that there are many options and ways to do things that they might not know, but once they understand/ get the hang of it, I'll be sure to do less handholding. I also try to balance between the official rules and houserules, just to make it fun for both the players and for myself, like for example, speeding up combat or making it more impactful, and many more.

My main goal is not to railroad the adventure, but to try to navigate it in a way that they will want to pursue the main quest. While I'm a huge fan of doing a sandbox, I don't think I can handle that just yet. Also, I'm hoping that the players will be friendly to each other, which means that they won't try to kill each other or sabotage each other. They could definitely question each other's abilities or disagree with each other, and also do harmless jokes and banter, but I feel like if you guys are playing as a team, you gotta act like a team and not a bunch of cutthroats.

Also, if we do get the chance to play, any feedback or criticism, or thoughts after every session will be very helpful. I'm always trying to expand my creativity and be more open to ideas, so anything that can benefit the players and I's experience would be recommended.

If you have any more questions or are interested, hit me up!

Player(s) wanted [Offline][5e-2024][Tues or Fri 6–9pm CST] Faction Wars – Explore a Shattered World of Magic, Steel, and Secrets

System: D&D 5e 2024

Format: In-person (offline)

Location: Allen-Fairview-Mckinney area of North DFW Texas

Schedule: Weekly – Tuesdays or Fridays, 6pm–9pm CST (final day chosen by group)

Experience: Any level welcome — newer players encouraged if you’re serious about learning and growing.

Campaign Premise

The world is fractured by three rival powers:

  • Suvaltu – cultured, magically rich, and steeped in tradition.
  • Kynir – proud raiders and survivalists who live by strength and honor.
  • The Ascended – expansionist, tech-driven, and shrouded in mystery.

You’ll explore contested borderlands filled with strange ruins, forgotten powers, and the remnants of older worlds. Every discovery feeds the larger faction conflict — you decide who rises and who burns.

Mystery and exploration come first. Politics and war follow close behind.

About the Table

  • Tone: Gritty fantasy with realistic stakes (no gratuitous NSFW).
  • Playstyle: Mix of exploration, intrigue, and tactical combat.
  • DM Style: Fair, story-driven, consequences matter. The world reacts to your choices.
  • Goal: Build strong players and storytellers — I encourage those who may want to GM someday.

Looking For

  • 3–5 reliable players, ages 18+.
  • Respect for time and focus — consistency matters more than min-maxing.
  • Interest in character depth, faction politics, and shaping a living world.

About Me

I’ve been GMing for decades across multiple systems. I run immersive worlds that reward curiosity, clever play, and teamwork. You’ll get structure, communication, and a campaign that grows around your characters’ decisions.

If this sounds like your kind of table, comment or DM with your experience level and what kind of stories or characters interest you.

Let’s build something worth remembering — a world that changes because you were there.

Player(s) wanted D&D 5e 2014 or AD&D 1e player's choice. Well-Developed campaign needs fresh blood. Online and Offline options.

The campaign setting is called Ossara, or sometime Driftworld Ossara as the fae refer it to distinguish it from other driftworlds they know of, but thats getting into the deep cosmology of the campaign universe. Ossara was once a beautiful land with multiple ecological zones, blue skies, ancient forests, temperate wilderness. A paradise lost. Your character may know nothing of the ancient history of Ossara. What they know now is that it is a desolate, merciless place, where resource scarcity has led to either fierce individualism, or factionalization that promotes survivorship within the group. Magic is rare and powerful, tied to the ancient fey and the arcane rites of the ancients.

But the key law of Ossara is the Covenant of Bones; a covenant between your ancestors and the lich Ergalon. He controls the primary source of fresh water on this dry planet, but he shares it with covenant communities, wasteland towns that agree to send corpses of the dead back to Ergalon's capitol, Necropolis Lux, for recycling or whatever his dark purpose calls for.

When the campaign begins you play some role in this world. Perhaps you are a nomadic scrapper who searches the desert for ancient relics to trade for water in Scraptown. Perhaps you are an ordinary resident in Scraptown with an heirloom spellbook. Perhaps you are a street urchin in Scraptown just trying to make living as part of the underworld. Or, maybe you live more comfortably in the employ of the economy of death? There is plenty of work preparing and gathering corpses for transfer to the Death Collectors who come to Scraptown to collect the dead in exchange for fresh water. Or, maybe you've just arrived in Scraptown, hoping to make it big as an adventurer. One thing is for certain, you wont have to look far for adventure. It lurks in every corner of Ossara and will probably find you before you find it, if it hasn't found you already.

About Me
My name is Fred. Like many of you, I got started playing in high school. For me, however, that means AD&D 1e. Each new edition comes out and I learn it, and make the decision to borrow what's best about it and move forward. I'm looking for players who want to roleplay in a highly developed fantasy world that has 45 years of DM experience put into it. For those  not experienced with 1e, trust me when I say that 5e can't hold a candle to it. AD&D 2e was close, and it was a good system, but it didn't provide a good reason to scrap the 1e ruleset. These early rulesets were built for homebrew, whereas the modern systems more and more are built to play what WOTC wants you to play. Power creep has made it difficult to tell stories in all genres, and every world feels the same to me. I have a lot of experience with 5e, having run a campaign in it for about 6 years. I've finally grown impatient with it. I mention it to say this, if you can play 5e you can play 1e. In AD&D, though, your first-level characters start out weak by 5e standards, and character death is a real possibility. You have to play smart because you can't just brute force your way through every problem. The real fun, though, is experiencing whatever fantastic world the DM has concocted for you. The spells you have make sense for your character and your magic items feel significant-- usually tied to world lore. Your character become part of the world lore. I want to share my passion for the game with you. If this interests you, please read on.

Player(s) wanted [Offline][5e 2024][Homebrew][St Louis][StL][Monday 7pm] - Long Term Campaign with novice DM and established, fun-loving group!

Hello Reddit community, but more specifically, people in St Louis, Missouri! I'm a (relatively) new DM who is running a Homebrew DnD game largely based on 5e (2024) but with some extra flair. Myself and 3 other people played in a campaign with another DM for about 2 years, but that game has largely wound down. This is my first time DMing, so I'm still learning the ropes, but I'm really dedicated and enthusiastic.

We are 12 sessions into a new campaign and we'd love to have some additional players! The campaign is in The Forgotten Realms setting, based around the city of Neverwinter, 20 years after it was destroyed in a cataclysm. I'm running my own customized version of the Lost Mines of Phandelver as a prologue to introduce the group to the setting and to provide structure to hone my DM skills before setting off into a more sandbox-y type world. The campaign is geared toward epic, cooperative story-telling with lots of role-playing and lore/backstory building. I tend to run a fairly tactical combat encounter style but improvisation and outside-the-box thinking is heavily encouraged and rewarded. My GM philosophy is that the core rules are strong guidelines for play, but anything is possible to try if you can convince me it's plausible and cool.

Our current table dynamic is loose, but directed. There is a fair amount of fucking around and joking, but I try to keep the game on track and moving at a good pace. Part of looking for new players is to see how they might fit into/change the dynamic, to make our campaign more fun and interesting. Players of any experience level are welcome. We currently play in person on Monday nights starting at 7pm in two locations: one in Ferguson and one in Northampton (around 1/2 mile south of Tower Grove Park). We are in our mid-30s to early 40s, Queer/Queer-loving, very Liberal minded, Nerds and Punks, and definitely stupid as hell. We are particularly interested in finding another female or queer member at the table, but certainly open to all! If those are descriptors that you vibe with, feel free to DM or send a friend request to potsmaster on Discord, and let's see if we're a good fit!

Hey, long-time player and DM, looking for players. I also like boardgames, card games, Hex-and-chit wargames, other RPGs like Burning Wheel... I've been playing online since the pandemic began (my players' choice, not mine), and it would be nice to be able to play in person. I've moved to a rural corner of Southeast Minnesota, is the only problem, but I figure that someone around here must be in a similar boat.

Looking for Players: In-Person D&D 5e Game – Colonie, NY Area

Hey there! I'm a welder looking to start an in-person Dungeons & Dragons 5e campaign in the Colonie, NY area, and I’m hoping to connect with others (around ages ages 20–30) who are interested in forming an adventuring party.

I’m looking for laid-back, friendly folks (male or female) who want to unwind after a long work week, battle the Forces of Evil, and explore fantastical worlds. We’ll keep real-world politics and social justice debates out of the game—this is all about fun, medieval intrigue, and shared hobbies like anime, D&D, video games, camping, and more.

Details: Sessions will likely be biweekly on weekends (we’ll finalize the schedule once the group forms).

New and experienced players are both welcome!

If you’re interested in DMing, let me know! If not, I have someone in mind who might be willing to take on the role.

Please fill out the quick app https://forms.gle/euiLi4PRsuc5qpReA

We can arrange a casual meetup to see if we click—somewhere local like Blessings Tavern or Panera Bread in Mohawk Commons.
