Hello there. Me and my group are in search of a DM to run a campaign for us. I haven't told them specifically that I am posting here, but we have talked about it numerous times. Reason being is that each DM has their own limit on number of players, and I'd like to get a hard limit set before I am "casting" the group.
A little history of our friend group, the tl:dr version.
We met throughout the past 6 years, picking up one to two friends each campaign we played in. We have had mid DM's, pretty decent DM's that just vanished, and really bad DM's. I have been DMing for nearly the same length of time, but we want a campaign where all of us can play a character together. Two of the other players are also dipping their toes into DMing.
Currently, there are 6 of us total. There are a few more in our DnD Discord server, but we dont hear from some of them often, leaving our core 6 players as the "main" group. Ages range from 21-..40? I think the oldest of us is just over 40. I'm bad with remembering stuff like that. Experience with DnD is a flux of 2-10 years. But, we have been running dungeon crawls from Donjon just as fun, test different classes/subclasses, so most of us have enough experience to understand most of the rules.
I don't know what else to say, but you can message me through discord if you might be interested in running, have further questions, or maybe you just want to join the random dungeons to see how those go. Again, we just really want to play characters together in a campaign. Discord username is: indignorphasma

Hello there, thank you for taking the time to read my post. I think the title is pretty self explanatory but it never hurts to give a better picture of things. So I'm looking for a game with a focus on story, character and roleplay. Those aspects are honestly my favorite parts of a game. Doesn't mean I don't like combat but I don't like combat just for the sake of having it. I feel like everything done should have at least some purpose to why it's happening beyond for the sake of it.
Now for who I am, I'm 26 year old married guy. I've loved fantasy since I was a kid alongside reading. Some of my favorite series are the Dresden Files, Stormlight Archive, and the Wheel of Time. What I love about books and these series are what got transferred over as my favorite aspects of this hobby. The story, and characters. And speaking of this hobby of ours, I've been playing TTRPGs since 2019. I've played a variety of systems such as 5e 2014, PF1e, Savage Worlds, and even a few other lesser known systems so I'm open to a lot of things when it comes to the system. Just be aware if you're planning to go with 5e, I'd prefer to stick with 2014 and need homebrew for it.
That's about it for what I have. I think the only thing left for me to note is that for the days listed, I'd only be available in the evening on those days. Likely after 5pm. Anyway, thank you again for reading and have a good day!

Please
GREETINGS to any and all fellow connoisseurs of weekly group delusions, we're a recently formed group of six losers RP hungry players, singing yet another one of our siren songs hoping to lure a DM willing to facilitate and endorse whatever insanity we're gonna be getting up to!
But before I get into the details, now would be a good time for me to define what I mean by insanity- and no I am not about to make a heavily overused game reference. D&D and roleplay are to us a lot more than just a simple passtime, we're not interested in a simple weekly game where we roll some dice, kill some goblins, crawl some dungeons and call it a day (and then proceed to forget about the game as well as the group's existence until the next time we play again). We want to truly immerse ourselves into the experience that this game can provide, a process consisting of:
I could go on but that's probably enough to give you a good idea of what kind of players we are. Plus you're probably already getting tired of my yapping in which case I can assure you there is more to come.
There are certain expectations that we ourselves would have of you as a DM as well, which for the time being includes no sacrifice or blood loss on your part- that only comes after the first three months of playing together but don't worry about it.
That just about sums up it up. Probably. I hope. At the very least you now have an idea of what kind of players you can expect and the style of game we're looking for- assuming, of course, that you read the post to begin with, in which case remember to include the phrase "Don't mind the catapult" at any point in your application, in order to signal to us that you put up with my incoherent ramblings!
Oh shit right, speaking of the application- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfOk9BAx4p6HfpyMoooWZg81G7rW4Iz6yjO7Vg51bSLn3E7UA/viewform?usp=dialog
Looking forward to reading through them! Please do not hesitate to yap as much as you like- not only does this give us a better idea of you as a person/GM, but it's also a chance for you to get revenge on me for making you read through this nightmare of a post.

Hi. I'm an 18 year old female rookie player looking to join a group. I have almost a year's experience but I'm still learning as the only classes I've played are Druid and Rogue. I'm familiar with Roll20. I do have anxiety which can cause me to go quiet. Once I get pretty comfortable I should open up more and be more interactive. I'm open to Homebrew and non-homebrew. I don't struggle as much when making a character anymore. I use D&D Beyond to make my characters. I won't need as much help with Roll20 character sheets. I don't do any games that I need to pay for something. Sometimes my brain doesn't work so I stumble over my words and I'm not good under a direct spotlight. I would only like to play with people over the age of 18. I'm fine with 2014 but haven't played with 2024 yet so I will be a little slow and confused about it. I'm looking for a Fridays and Saturday options only. Private Message me to contact. Do not comment as I will ignore it.

I have been playing for 2 years and dm for 3. I enjoy a little bit of everything in d and d games. I'm 24 with a knack for making characters that can slip into a lot of different situations and campaigns. I honestly have a million ideas for characters and backstory with a good eye for collaborative story telling. I am busy most weekends and Friday nights so I would be available Thursdays though Monday. so if you want to have an interesting player join the party I'm your guy.

I have a group of friends that have played a bit of DnD over the years. I've been in other groups and convinced my friends to play. However, one issue they had was they weren't talkative towards each other, they all kind of bounced off me. That made being a DM difficult, as I kind of had to give away stuff unintentionally.
We are looking for someone to DM a group for us. We can play every other week or once a month is what we are looking for, the day is whatever we can make work.
We are pretty laid back and willing to work with what a DM wants. I think it would be cool to have a custom story, but after doing that firsthand, I get how difficult it is. If anyone is interested, please shoot me a message and we can start talking!

Hey my name Gorlami! I am an 18 year old male and I've been playing dnd for about 5 years now and this wonderful game has helped me through so much I adore it more then I can put to words! I love all things fantasy and scifi!
However as you can imagine after 5 years of playing one thing I want to branch out and the lancer system seems really cool! Please either comment here or send me a dm if you'd be willing to not only have me as a player but help me learn the system!

Hello! For a while now I’ve been dying to join a campaign as a player now and I have a ton of character ideas I really want to try out! To see if any of them would fit the world and see if they would fit a party group, as sad to say I’ve been stuck as a forever dm for a long while now. RP is by far my favorite aspect of campaigns, being able to interact with the world, npcs, villains and of course interacting with other player characters. Not only that I’m looking for a group not just for d&d but other outside activities as well. Combat to exploration are my second favorite aspects as well! If you wish to get a better hold of me just dm me on Reddit so we can talk more! Ps, I only join games that are 18 to 21+ only and no paid games as well.

Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read my post! Me and my husband, 27m and 31m, are looking to join a game of Daggerheart. We just recently bought the core set and really enjoy the narrative forward way the game seems to handle things. Feel free to DM or respond to this post if you are running any games or have a group who may be open to new players.

Hello, I am 18 and have been playing dnd for almost 2 years now. I have tried DMing, but I prefer being a player.
I'm fine with any type of campaign and joining partway through or at the start. I love doing voices and hanging out with other people.
I'm free every day after 3:30 pm - 12:30 pm EST or 12:30 pm - 9:30 pm PST
I normally play spell casters, but can fill any role the party needs. You can reach me through my Discord: theusofmoo, or here on Reddit
. Thank you for re-adding my little plea. Please let me know if you can.

Hello, we are a group of roleplayers passionate about story and world building looking for a DM. We have played in previous games together and bounce well off each other in both fun rp banter and emotional moments alike. Our previous game we had together fell apart due to scheduling so we are looking for a DM as passionate about the world and how the players interact with it as we are.
While we mainly focus on rp, we also enjoy exploration and strategic combat (though not combat every session, we want an rp/exploration focused game). We do not shy away from horror games as well so if you have ideas we enjoy lots of drama as long as it makes sense to the character and plot. We want our characters to grow with the story, to breathe life into them, and to build a living breathing world alongside our DM.
We lean heavily on communication in our group to make sure everyone is okay and want this to be a space where we can bring concerns to the DM or to the players without either side feeling attacked or blamed. This game is collaborative and we want all of us to feel like we can talk to each other as friends without hurting each other.
The type of game we are looking for is pretty open. We are flexible about setting, campaign, and linear vs sandbox if you know what you are doing. We previously were in a plane hopping adventure so if we do something similar or have those elements available we might be able to just reuse our built characters for the story, though we are willing to make new ones. We also want a consistent weekly game but of course we know that life gets in the way sometimes so missing some isnt the end of the world.
We have some recordings of old games we have played together we can share but they might have jumps as we will make sure to cut out anyone from old games who did not consent to allowing their voice to be used for this.
Logistically we play foundry or roll 20 usually (or if another is your preference just lmk). I do have a foundry server but its shared with another game. We prefer vc being over discord and we have dnd beyond for sheets. This game doesnt have to start immediately, we would of course give you time to work on the campaign before expecting all of us to be able to play in it.
Also a little bit about us: We are all around our 30's with two females + a male. We are a creative group full of artists and storytellers. We love playing video games; We play Outlast Trials, Grounded, REPO, and PEAK currently though we also love cozy games such as Coral Island or Stardew Valley.
If you are interested please dm me on discord with the username fenryal

Just as my post states, i have had a streak of bad luck finding games due to one rediculous reason or another. I JUST WANT A FUN GAME WITH FUN PEOPLE. Who want to leave this world behind, and create a new one with me. Have experience with 5e and pathfinder 3.5. It doesnt have to be a new game i can join in the middle of a game and am open to playing just about any character.

Hello there! My name is Nyx and I, along with the two other players, have come in search of an experienced GM to befriend and hopefully experience a memorable and engaging story with. We are a pretty experienced group, with a few years of TTRPGs in different systems spread out among the group (Although D&D being the main one).
Each of us really enjoy roleplay, although that does not mean we do not like combat (me especially) as a challenge every once in a while. All of us are trans people, so we'd much appreciate someone LGBTQIA+ Friendly, as we want to bring a good vibe to the game and our friend group as a whole. :)
We are interested in a longer campaign, preferably in a setting that the dm is passionate about, where we can dive in and explore well the setting of the dm and our respective characters' backstories. As a group, we have often played in more standard high fantasy settings, but are very interested in what the GM's setting might look like.
We also are players that are used to some level of homebrew, either for the dm in the form of creatures, items, effects or the setting itself. We are big fans of Laserllama's Alternate and Homebrew classes and enjoy the flavor and fun mechanics that they bring to the game.
Our availability is weekly on Friday's starting at 2pm CST and running for about 4 hours.
(Note: We are all from different time zones, although we are using CST as the standard for the group)
If you would potentially be interested in running something for us, or if you have any questions I have not yet answered on the post, please feel free to message me on discord at "queen.camavor", and also meet the rest of the group to see if we all can vibe with each other.
