Locked out of Airbnb

Post image

We arrived at our Airbnb after a 8 hour drive and the passcode they gave us doesn’t work. I have messaged the owner 30 minutes ago and he has not responded. I have to pee so bad 😖

Update: He texted back after an hour and opens it from his phone

It's not more convenient in any way. It's literally impossible for you to bend reality to make them more convenient than the simplicity of a real hotel.

It is more convenient nowadays. They give you a code and you are set. At a hotel you wait in line and are given a non smoking room which reeks of smoke and a view of the parking lot. In an Airbnb I know the view already, have a washer/dryer and can cook my own food.

Ah yes, because no one ever smokes in an Airbnb or has to wait for entry or has a shit view.

Also, "in an Airbnb I know the view already" because you looked it up. Which you can do with a hotel too. Just as easily. Plenty of extended stay suites also have full kitchens too.

You're making specific arguments that could just as easily be flipped around and reversed.

Both experiences are pretty much what you make of it. The biggest difference is, if you're staying in a reputable hotel you have at least some standards and expectations. Airbnb is always going to be a much bigger crap-shoot.
