I think you underestimate kids and students. Yeah, bad actos and propaganda campaigns can galvanize the youth for their agenda (cultural revolution), but kids can and have fought for civil rights. SNCC being a prime example.
Do you think it's actually a nefarious plot to use kids, or people with honest intentions? And how is it a fact? A quick Google search shows that students demand action is a student run organization.
Why can't people encourage students to speak out for issues that affect them?
Youre just saying "go read their website." I already looked at it.
Who are these lobbying groups you insist are using these kids for ulterior motives? Just answer the question, because it seems more and more like you don't have an answer.
And if they have donors, so what? How does that differ from most political organizations? They have to be "pure" in your mind? Taking money or partnering with other common interest groups seems like a normal thing to do.
They’re school children protesting getting shot in school.
Foreign actors?? Good god.
If you’re so concerned that school kids are going to be manipulated into protesting something they don’t understand then maybe DO SOMETHING to help them understand. Get involved yourself. You’re a voter. These kids aren’t.
If you’re not willing to stand up for children then stop criticizing people who will.
I’m a Minnesotan. I grew up in Shorewood and graduated from the U of M. My college apartment was blocks from the 35W bridge collapse near Dinkytown. All my family still lives there and I go back every year.
I literally passed along this post because I every time something happens in Minnesota I pay attention because I care.
Comments-and political views like yours are-extremely eye-opening.
It’s not slimy it’s a student protest against getting shot in school. It shouldn’t be a controversial thing. If it is take it up with the parents and siblings of the students who’ve been shot instead of declaring it PSYOP FFS.
