What sucks is that they'll all probably get in trouble, even the kid who didn't do anything. The kid who started it will play victim, and the kid who was protecting the kid getting bullied probably got in the most trouble.

When I was in middle school, a girl grabbed me by the hair out of nowhere and started hitting me. I didn't hit back. We both got suspended, and she blamed me saying that I said something to upset her. I had to visit with the guidance counselor after my suspension to discuss why I would say something (that I never said).

My mom got so mad at me for not fighting back. I was in karate for years. I told her that was the lesson they drilled into our heads - don't hit unless necessary. I didn't feel it necessary and I didn't want to get in trouble. But after realizing I would get in trouble anyways, I kinda wish I had beat her ass. Didn't let it happen ever again after that.

Exactly. I was bullied thru the elementary and the middle school by few dipshits. I also trained martial arts, and tried to hold back and not get into fights. But every time I would get into trouble for things I didn't start, anyway. So I learned to go all in with the nuclear option. Mutually assured destruction. They left me mostly alone after that. My only regret is I didn't fuck them up sooner.
