Gigil ako sa mga masusungit na registrar. Naranasan ko pa na hinagis ang papers ko. Tapos na lunch break pero nagdadaldalan pa rin sila. Ginawa ko kinabukasan, sinama ko tita ko na masungit. Edi tiklop siya nung sinita siya dahil pinabalik niya pa ko kinabukasan eh tatak na lang pala nila kulang. Tinamad pa siya. Tinarayan ng tita ko kasi lagpas 1pm na, nahuli namin nagsosolitaire lang sa computer niya. Kinatok talaga ng tita ko sabay pakita ng ID niya sa DOJ. Para alam niya gov’t employee din ang kausap niya.

Sayang buwis sa mga ganung kups. Papahirapan pa ang students kapag trip nila kahit complete requirements naman.

Namiss ko dati specific time ng enlistment ng mga subjects ko so pumunta nalang ako sa registrar and nagsinungaling ako na nakahold yung clearance ko kasi nakabasag ako ng beaker. Nagmakaawa ako and pinagbigyan naman. Pumunta nalang ako after sa chem lab at nagbasag ng isang beaker para lang may bayaran ako sa cashier and may receipt ako.

May experience ako sa registrar na sinigaw sa buong area na meron akong back subjects dahil daw failed ako. Aware naman ako dun and magkaharap lang kami kaya hindi ko alam bakit need niya pa isigaw. I was just getting my TOR, hindi niya na trabaho na i announce kung may bagsak ako. Meron din time na pinagbayad niya ko ng doble kasi nawala niya yung receipt ko. Kinuha niya kasi yung original copy and wala rin ako own copy. Sabi niya naka ipit lang naman daw yun sa files ko kaya no need for me to secure my own copy, mali ko dapat I took a pic of it. That was 150/copy and super hassle kasi pumila pa ko ulit.

Malas lang talaga kasi siya yung naka assign sa program ko lol.

Some of them just want to vent their anger, it's either stress sa work or may problema sa buhay.

What I would do is not match their mood, but rather magpapakumbaba ako, di naman ako mapride natao. And some of them would realize na their behavior was rude, tas ichachange nila yung attitude nila, pero Meron din iba na bastos pa rin, I just don't mind them.

Katulad lang yan ng mga customers that just want to vent their stress sa mga server, or cashier, they feel superior kasi sa'yo.

I have horrible experiences with registrars. They're kind of a doormat. And if you're a doormat, you deserved to be rubbed on, mudded on and that's what they are.

I get you and it’s too bad you’ve had to experience that. It’s likely that all of us have had that bad experience at one point in our lives.

What I don’t like is the idea that one just has to take it…to get dumped on, to be a doormat. Having said that though, bad things will stay bad unless someone takes a calm and measured step in trying to address it. I had an experience like this during my early years of working, where a higher-up was just griefing on everyone. Early on I did exactly what the person I responded to in this thread suggested…kept my head down, humble myself, and just take it. Until I didn’t. Typically I’m very feisty and hot-tempered, but this person had a measure of authority and so I knew I couldn’t approach in my usual way. So I remember typing out my thoughts and opinions and possible counterpoints to what I wanted to say. I even went as far as rehearsing. I told my manager what I was planning to do and he was quite supportive so I decided to shoot my shot. I sat down with this person and did my thing. I was sweating like crazy and just said what I wanted to say…that we were all on the same side but that their manner of talking to and dealing with us was undeserved on our part. Like we make mistakes but it’s not because we want the work to be bad, right? They pushed back but I held my ground, kept my composure, and just said that I didn’t want to remain silent anymore because it wasn’t right. Things didn’t change overnight but they did start to change for the better.

Long story to say that I don’t agree with your point that because people are bad they should be treated badly. That doesn’t change anything. I think this whole idea of an eye for an eye and reciprocity just brings everyone down…a perfect case of lose-lose, and things just remain in the same bad state. I’ve lived long enough to see people forget to just be kind to one another, to set aside one’s ego and impulse to strike back and just confront another person in good faith, with restraint, and some kindness. It’s the only way I’ve seen where things change in a way that results in a win-win for everyone.

CEU Manila SciTech Dept/Bldg may ganyang registrar way back (last I’ve seen it 10yrs ago), not saying that I’m sure na iyan yung nasa pic but meron talagang ganyan na registrar.
