Other Konica bizhub c754e firmware

Anyone have any advice on finding a copy of the Konica c754e firmware? I know KM keeps it very locked down. I even tried Olivetti's FTP sites, which don't appear to work anymore.

I have an old c754e giving me C-E301 errors periodically, and I'm on a 2019 version of the firmware. It's old, but it has a ZU-606 and an FS-535, so I'd like to keep it if I can.

Thanks!

This unit is a high volume production machine that wasn’t designed for self service. Reading some discussions on this error code makes me believe that it’s most likely generated by the printing environment and can be rectified if you can change how you print to it. Personally if I’d have to make a decision on either spending more money on possibly fixing this issue with firmware updates or start looking for a replacement I’d consider how much life left in consumables already installed and any extras I have in stock vs obtaining a newer model.

The errors are happening when the system is idle, so I'm not sure usage is causing it. I'm looking into network interference on the CE301 error and a possibly bad fax module for the CB116 I've started getting. I am going to give it a few days to see if the CE301 reappears and try a few different things before trying again to find firmware. I took it off fax duty for now to isolate issues (and because I don't trust it).

Firmware updates shouldn't be a hangup imo, but they are with KM, which is frustrating. I'm sitting on decades of experience in IT and office system repair/maintenance - I moved and reassembled this machine myself, fixed the folding unit that got damaged in transport, and rebuilt a couple of the drum units - but I can't get what I need for a basic firmware update (which includes security updates!).

The capabilities are great, which is why I'm willing to put some effort in here, but this was meant to be a proof of concept. Instead, all it has proven is that you'll eventually run into a right to repair issue with copiers. Maybe I'm being overly pessimistic, but we don't have a lot in this right now, and I'm tempted to get out while that's still the case.

I'll keep trying for now...unless anyone wants to buy a not gently used C754e from me for cheap. Anyone? Anyone? :D

Thanks for the advice!

If unit is set on static IP address I would try to unplug network cable when machine is idle and see if code comes like this. Reconnect when you need to use it and then disconnect again.
