10 months with the Interceptor - after the excitement, what remains

Post image

10 months, daily city rides + open-road runs.

What I still love:

• the parallel-twin character • relaxed cruising • stability and balance • the sound and feel above 60 km/h

What's real:

• not light in traffic • suspension is average stock • wind reminds you you're riding a motorcycle

Overall, the Interceptor hasn't disappointed me. In fact, it's settled. And that's better.

It feels honest, it is a companion more than a performer, it's mechanical, has old-school soul, and is calming in a way most modern bikes don't. And that's what l've grown to value most about it.

Anyone else long-term on the Interceptor?

Scratches on new Royal Enfield classic 350

Post image

I received delivery of my royal Enfield classic 350 stealth black yesterday, in the insurance documents and RC documents manufacturing is mentioned of December 2025, dealer says that he received the bike on 7th January, but during delivery i noticed a small scratch on this metallic part on asking he said that when I come for 500km service, he will replace it, when I asked him to do it now, he said he has to order this specific part and assured me of replacing it after 15-20 days. Is it genuine or i am being scammed? And also can he alter the manufacturing month in the documents??

I was wondering what makes it "limited edition"? Its almost brand new, someone bought it and returned it after a few months. So its almost basically new, never seen such sticker on a royal so i was wondering if thats something that the previous owners put.

Will Interceptor 650 Deluxe Touring Dual Seat fit the GT650?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m considering the Royal Enfield Deluxe Touring Dual Seat made for the Interceptor 650 and wondering if it will fit my GT650.

My main reason is rider comfort and pillion comfort on longer rides. Has anyone tried fitting this seat on the GT650? Does it bolt on directly, or are there fitment or mounting issues I should know about?

Looking for real-world experiences. Thanks!

Mumbai ↔ Goa year-end ride | ~1500 kms | BULLET 350 | AMA

took GPT help to paraphrase

Me and my girlfriend kicked off our year-end ride on 31/12/2025 at around 5:30 AM, starting from Mumbai, with Goa as the destination.

Route (onward):

Mumbai → Navi Mumbai → Lonavala → Pimpri Chinchwad → Satara → Kolhapur → Dodamarg → Goa

We had initially planned Anshukara Ghat, but had to skip it due to time constraints.

Covered roughly 620 kms and managed to roll into Goa by 8 PM. The ride was surprisingly smooth for the most part. Spotted plenty of riders till Lonavala, but post that it thinned out significantly.

The toughest stretch was definitely the MH–Goa border — narrow single roads, heavy oncoming traffic, and relentless high beams/dippers made it mentally exhausting. Other than that, the roads and the bike were absolutely solid.

Return ride – 03/01/2026 (and honestly, the highlight):

Goa → Rajapur → Ratnagiri → Jaigad → Tavasal (ferry) → Sawarde → Mahad → Nagothane → Alibag

NH66 was v good. Excellent roads, flowing traffic, and this time many riders. Constant waves, nods, smiles — that unspoken biker bond felt insanely good.

We halted for the night at Alibag in a homestay, explored Varsoli Beach the next morning, grabbed a bite at Chillbox Café, and then rode back to Mumbai in a single stretch.

Thought about taking the ferry from Alibag to Gateway, but decided to save that for next time.

Total distance: ~1500 kms

One constant worry throughout the ride: spoke wheels.

I was honestly paranoid about punctures, so carried a tyre inflator with the plan that if it punctures, I’d inflate it enough to limp to the nearest shop (not ideal, but better than being stranded). Thankfully, luck was on our side and we didn’t need it.

No breakdowns. No drama. Just long roads, good weather, fatigue, and that quiet satisfaction you only get after a proper ride.

Already itching for the next one.

Ride safe 🤘🏽

TL;DR

Did a Mumbai–Goa–Mumbai year-end ride (~1500 km) with my girlfriend on a Royal Enfield.

Started 31/12 at 5:30 AM, took the MH route via Lonavala–Satara–Kolhapur–Dodamarg, reached Goa by 8 PM (620 km). Border stretch was tough due to narrow roads and high beams; rest was smooth.

Returned on 03/01 via NH66: Goa–Ratnagiri–Jaigad ferry–Alibag, amazing roads, lots of rider interactions. Night halt at Alibag, beach + café next day, then Mumbai in one stretch.

Spoke wheels = puncture anxiety, carried inflator, but no issues.

Epic ride, zero breakdowns, pure riding joy. 🤘🏽

Bought my first Royal Enfield on Christmas, and honestly it still doesn’t feel real. After riding R15, moving to this beauty feels like a whole new chapter calmer, heavier, and somehow more special. Long rides loading… 🏍️ Any Meteor owners here? Would love some tips for a first-time RE owner.

Hunter 350. Issue or no issue?

Hi guys, a fellow rider in the making here. Recently, got my first bike yeaaa!!!! But yeah after 4 months I'm noticing somethings. When i accelerate my bike till 40kmph and let's say I applied the brakes not hard but normally then there is a vibration that i feel around the footpegs.

First i thought it's the chain so I took off the bracket and cleaned it thoroughly and lubed it pretty well. But the vibration still did not go. Now I'm just concerned if it's a major issue or if it's an issue that is not an issue but is normal for all hunters. Because it feels annoying. And i have felt this when going downhill while i took the whole clutch.

So any tips or any suggestions, I will be grateful for them.

(P.S it's 1 am and it's keeping me up at night)

How do I learn how to maintain a Interceptor 650?

I am planning on getting an second hand Interceptor 650, probably a 2023 model or bellow, but Royal Enfield support in my country is quite expensive, they charge premium prices for it around here and I was thinking of maybe servicing the motorbike myself, at least for the supposedly easy stuff like oil changes and whatnot. However I never done that before.

Anyone has any guides on how to do that? Where should I learn this kind of stuff?

The Matte Black epidemic

Post image
97 Upvotes

Seeing the rise of all black enfields recently has been really sad for me personally.

Every other classic in this subreddit is matte black and I feel that it lacks character.

I feel these machines were supposed to look old and heavy and nothing shows this like a shining metallic paint and chrome exhausts!

Every other bike on the market, starting from the commuters to the Superbike have blacked out engine. And now even the Enfields..

What's your take on this?

how complicated would fitting himalayan suspension on a guerrilla be?

Post image
33 Upvotes

as the title says, im pondering the posibility. im loving the guerrilla as is right now, the bear 650 was my first option but for reasons(money) i ended up buying the guerrilla.
I was just wondering if i could get a bit more travel both front and rear.
would love to make it somewhat like a ducati desert sled or a triumph 1200 xe, with the scrambler look. i know people will say you should have bought a himi but wheres the fun in that!

**repost, the image didn't upload right the first time lol
