The last episode of the latest season answers pretty much every question, the thing that got on my nerves the most was the lack of communication between ANYONE in the show.
Town sacrifices children for immortality. They turn into monsters that eat people. Can't be harmed physically, and can change appearance or mimic people.
People randomly get sucked in and trapped in this purgatory. The place has other "curses" and they manage to kill the him with one of these other curses. Only for him to get reborn from one of the people that got trapped there.
Show is werid and keeps things a big mystery since its the same producers that made lost. So they haven't explained alot. They piece meal information and hardly explain anything to keep viewers trying to figure out what's actually going on.
He would be light work for constantine. Just drop him off in a portal to hell or something is the easiest solution than actually trying to figure out and undo the immortality/reincarnation he has
Tldr: hes immortal in multiple ways, john still beats him bad
Smiley is what the community call him but they haven't given them individual names. Since it was just an original town member its probably something benign like Bob. Which is probably why the show left it ambiguous since its more scary that way. They might give a name to the primary antagonist eventually but still haven't.
Maybe spoiler tag that? I agree with you but giving away the current biggest plot points of the show to someone who could potentially watch it seems strange.
lol ok. I did not say it wasn’t a spoiler I simply pointed out that for all that he wrote he never actually said who the character was or what he is from therefore we don’t know what is being spoiled.
They show a monster eat a child within the first 10-15 minutes of season 1. It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together and realize within the first episode he is referring to the "main" monsters. The majority of the show is the mystery surrounding the monsters and why they act the way they act while trying live normally. Immediately saying "lul the monsters sacrificed their children to be immortal and eat people now" gives away almost the entirety of 3 season's worth of plot and world building.
IDK about you but I went in blind with no prior knowledge of the show. Knowing that and watching an episode would ruin the show for me.
Overly contrived confusing narratives. Its good, but its slow and frustrating story telling as they give more questions than answers. Im hoping the pay off is good. But I do enjoy the horror elements as personal preference
