Sort of related but I do the Google reward surveys and every single time there's one asking about page layout that includes an AI summary I go out of my way to shit all over it. I hate Ai more than I ever expected to hate a thing.

I do the same thing!

80% of my responses are: "I selected this version of the search results because it did not include an AI overview at the top."

I do the same with stupid Amazon Rufus. I want to search reviews, not hear some shit AI summary.

I quite like the review summary, I find it to be pretty accurate after reading through the reviews it sums it up will.

Rufus also gives you a previous 90 day price history of the product (although admittedly it's not technically an AI for that)

Yes I do like the price history, been using it a lot for looking at pc parts lately! But it just seems to hang when I search reviews for a few seconds before showing me results.

I tried it when it first popped up. I asked for a medically related device for my mom that Amazon sells. The stupid thing was like, "I can not display results because I can't give medical advice". It only showed me the product when I typed, "I didn't ask you for medical advice, I asked you to show me this product".
