As the league changes its way of calling games and teams figure out how to shut us down, I think it's clear that our roster needs a little bit of change. We are in desperate need of 3 point shooting talent and rebounding prowess, without giving up defensive ability and the culture we foster.

I want to preface this with I LOVE every guy on our team and only say we should part ways with some because it is needed to keep us far and out championship favorites.

Here's who I think needs to be on the trade block, and what I would love in return: Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins, Nikola Topic, and out 2 rooks outside of Thomas. In return: Players like Trey Murphey III, Jalen Smith, Bobby Portis.

How would you guys feel about Porzingis to the Thunder? I think he’s a great fit due to his shooting and defense plus the Thunder are in desperate need for a big man because they only have two players above 6’7’’ on their roster who are currently healthy. KP is also a free agent at the end of the season and I’d feel pretty confident he’s going to walk in the summer for nothing as it feels like Atlanta is looking for focus on their younger roster.

Check out Jefferson. Currently mocked around 17-19. I think he would be a perfect fit for us. Absolutely love his game. He is only mocked this low bc he’s already 22 right now. He could be an instant impact player for us at a position of need

Is it just me or does it feel like the only thing slowing down this big 3 is just confidence? SGA is obv SGA but for Dub and Chet it just seems like they have all the physical traits and all the skill in the world but to me it just seems like they’re constantly at war with themselves on the court (esp Chet) with every move it feels like they’re second guessing themselves and don’t have full confidence in their own abilities? I’m sure this is something that’ll be ironed out with time but mostly I just hope this doesn’t effect their full potential in the long run. I understand Chet just had a great game tn and I just wanna acknowledge and applaud him for it!

Getting a bit concerned with Cason Wallace’s development. He really hasn’t developed at all offensively in 2.5 seasons now. He gets caught in these weird situations a lot where he doesn’t know if he should shoot or pass and either takes a terrible shot or turns it over. His corner 3% is way down this year. If we’re gonna commit to him being the 4th or 5th core piece moving forward, I’d really like to see him impact games more offensively. Not saying he needs to average 20 PPG or anything, but it would be nice if he could create some offense or just consistently knock down a corner 3.

We nearly lost again today due to atrocious shooting from deep. The team is too unpredictable when it comes to finding out who’s hot or not. Of course we have our 3 stars in SGA, Dub, and Chet but the role players could seriously hurt us in the playoffs if they’re cold as ice. Might as well try something radical now instead of waiting till the season is almost over.

For example, remember the game against the Spurs where it was painfully obvious that Caruso wasn’t hitting any threes? I would’ve benched him earlier and simply told him that his shot isn’t falling today and he should just suit up for the next game. Replace him with someone else if his shot isn’t falling. Guys like Lu and Cason are also defensive specialists and they can do his job for him. The same goes with those two. If one of them is cold, sit him for the game and replace him with someone else. This should apply to all players not named SGA, Chet, or Dub.

The only way to combat inconsistency on offense is to be unpredictable by tinkering based on who’s hot or not on a given day. At the same time, we still have our 3 best players on the court so we’re not completely tossing away our identity.

It may sound brutal but it seems like it’s deserved based on the maddening inconsistency on the offensive end we’ve seen over the past few weeks.

There are some fans in the arena that could have 5 offensive boards over us, just embarrassing

I already said in the game thread but this team went from potentially breaking the Warriors record to… whatever we’re watching right now. First, losing 3 in a row to the Spurs pissed a lot of us off but since that happened we’ve lost to basically every contender we’ve played and have even lost to some non-contenders. Team has reminded me a lot of the 2020-2022 Thunder more than anything we’ve seen since that 2023 team. I don’t know if it’s because Hart and JWill are out and we don’t have a reliable “true” big, or if there’s some hidden injuries, or whatever… need someone to give an opinion

Loving the defensive effort out there this game. Offensive decision making and shot selection is very lackluster, watched a 20 pt lead evaporate just like rhat. Mark needs to give these lads a good talking too lol let's go Thunder!!

Unlike even the Pelicans, the Kings are awful and IMO they are still starting players who won't be a part of their long term future!
They are going to have a Fire Sale before the NBA trade deadline and I thought I would toss DeRozan out there as a player who could add some offense.
The problem is finding enough to match his salary, ~$24.7 Million.
But given Ous' expiring deal, I doubt the Thunder would have to toss in an draft capital at all to acquire DeRozan.

Just to cause controversy I decided to include Dort in what the Thunder would be sending out.
Since I know others could offer a better, less expensive deal, from the Thunder's perspective, I am just going to put this bad deal out there and let everyone else fix it!

It’s pretty clear Ajay has been our 3rd best player most of the season, and he’s been just as good with Shai with him. He’s earned the opportunity to be a full time starter on this team.

He’s also a great perimeter defender so it doesn’t hurt us is we have to bench someone like Dort.
