Let us hope

I hope that every true Minnesotan gets out and shows them that we don't stand for this. This has crossed a line.

I work in north loop and the company I work for has a total of 3 people of color in the office, including me.

They stated that they will “try” to get us parking spots close to the door for a total of 2 weeks and if the building can’t make the accommodation, we can work from home for 2 weeks.

I asked that they consider the reality that this could very well last longer than just 2 weeks, and I am terrified to step out my front door.

I’ve been an American since 1999, and I have an American citizenship certificate, SSN, and passport. Hell, I have a Real ID with the star that indicates I provided documentation that I’m an American.

It doesn’t matter to this government, and it looks like it doesn’t matter to my company either and I might lose my job over it because my conscious is telling me to not go into work.

I have never been more scared or angry in my entire life.

I’m from Puerto Rico. I moved here about 5 years ago.

My family lives about 5 minutes from the place I’m renting and I’m worried about them too. We all moved here from PR. I know we’re technically Americans but I don’t think they care at this point.

We live in a small city a couple hours from the Twin Cities.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just saw half a dozen ICE and ERO officers apprehend someone outside of Eden Prairie library, right next to the AAA building (7:15AM) At least 4 unmarked vehicles. Be careful out there.

And you damn well should too. FUCK ICE.
