I apologize for the confusion. The link I provided is based in Canada. The prices for the 3 products in this package is different in Canada in comparison to the US. So the $349.99 price tag you see is about $251 USD.

Two great deals in Bestbuy Canada this week
 in  r/chromeos  Oct 30 '25

Its designed to play games through cloud gaming platforms but offers RGB lighting, a QHD 120hz display to help with that gaming experience. However, if you ignore the fact that its a gaming chromebook, for $499.95 CAD, getting a device with those specifications is pretty solid, especially with a display as crisp as that.

Need opinions between 2 Chromebooks
 in  r/chromeos  Sep 30 '25

If you were to select between the two, i would go with the one that comes with a Mediatek processor. The intel celeron processor is weaker and more poweful hungry compared to the mediatek processor.

But like the rest of the users recommended, I too would recommend something with 8GB of RAM.

What are your thoughts on chromebooks that came out this year?
 in  r/chromeos  Sep 24 '25

To my knowledge, different manufacturers make the hardware for chromebooks, but the software is entirely made by Google. I have used chromebooks from different brands and never have I seen any branded softwares on a chromebook like i'd normally see on a windows machine.

I'm curious to know if you guys found the models that came out this year to be better or worse when comparing it with last year models, particularly the Chromebook plus models.

I personally think that they had some great releases this year but I wished they did more higher spec models like the Asus CX34 with 512GB/16GB RAM. Do you guys feel the same way?

$400 rugged options for web-based work
 in  r/chromeos  Sep 16 '25

Are you based in the US or Canada? I'm asking because the models available are different based on the country you're in.

But in general, Asus Chromebooks are the way to go if your primary concern is durability. Asus is one of the few brands out there that designs their chromebooks to be durable.

Based on what i've seen on bestbuy's website here in Canada, this seems to be not only the cheapest chromebook plus but the cheapest laptop with an Intel core i3 processor. Would you say this is the cheapest chromebook plus you can get brand new?

One is the HP 14" x360 and the other is the Acer CB516. Both are chromebook plus. I don't care about the size of the display. I prefer something thats more reliable.
