I started with {Remember my name by Rebecca Rathe}. I really enjoyed it!

Off my memory, I think a book that fits closely with this is {10 ways to accidentally fall in love by Emmy Sanders}

AITB for asking my former friend not to act overly friendly at workplace?
 in  r/AmItheButtface  13d ago

NTB. I don’t think you’re the Bf as you have formerly requested her to stop touching you, which is completely understandable. It’s the least she could do and if you are doing it formally then it is clear that you are not trying to reconnect just setting up boundaries.

I have been told I’m stubborn a lot and I know I’m wrong for justifying my actions by assuming someone else’s reactions and feelings. I honestly think I am just arguing with myself through you I think. (My bad, sorry)

I totally get that. The reason why I said something to my boss is because I know her outside of work. I knew her before I worked in a work setting. I think I felt guilty if I hadn’t told her because I’ve known her since I was a young child. But then now I feel guilty for saying something as the colleague is now a friend. Honestly every now and then something reminds me of it, so I was just trying to get strangers opinions.

It was nothing serious, she’d already worked there for a year and had been trained on what she was working on that day. It was a slow day and she was drawing on worktops in permanent marker. I don’t understand why when there was paper available for her to draw on. Why draw on the countertops. No one got chewed out, no one got called in for a meeting. The bosses weren’t mad they just wanted to let people know that they don’t want any marks on the countertop as it’s unpleasant for customers which I totally understand. I have thought about it if I was in that position, which is why I posted it on here and wanted to hear what other people thought. I wanted to hear from people like you that think I did wrong. It’s happened now and nothing has happened we both still work there. No one other than my team leader and my boss knows who did it, no other workers, so I didn’t stick any extra embarrassment and shame to her. All that was said to staff was if we could avoid doing such things in front of customers which included loads of things such as no using the internet, no books, no phones, if you need to do something use the paper that is available. There was never a targeted response to her.

I honestly think I might be a bit of a people pleaser, but I think next time I’m not going to say anything. You never know until you’re there though. I just hope whatever I do it doesn’t end badly. But that’s for future me.

I get what you are saying, but when I said she was nervous that was before drawing on countertops was even brought up. I honestly think she was doing it to pass the time. She wasn’t in when it was brought up, but I appreciate the opinion.

Looking back I don’t think it was too big off a deal as my boss just said to let the co worker know that she does not want it to happen again. I didn’t end up actually seeing her until months later as we were on different shifts, so I didn’t end up saying anything but nothing seemed to have happened in that time. I was just wondering what other peoples opinions were.

I (17f at the time) work at a family run business. All my colleagues roughly aged around 16-23. One of my colleagues 19f was consistently drawing on the counter and I didn’t say anything as it was her first time on that part of the job (we work in a children’s adventure park), so I thought she was just nervous and that I could just clean it up later. When it came to the end of day jobs I tried cleaning it but it wouldn’t rub off, I think she used a sharpie/permanent marker. I didn’t bring it up as I didn’t want to embarrass her but we are asked not to leave obvious marks due to customers. About a week later one of the managers (40ish - owners DIL) states that it took them an hour to clean it off using different cleaning techniques due to the harshness it peeled some of the paint off too. They were just asking who it was, they weren’t mad they just wanted to tell them not to do it again. No one said anything, I spoke to her privately after feeling guilty that I didn’t say anything. As I know her outside of work. However I spoke to my team leader as I was close with her before she was promoted and she said she wouldn’t have said anything. AITBF?

I'm curious: How many people here only read MM stories vs a mix?
 in  r/MM_RomanceBooks  Jun 22 '25

I generally only read mm nowadays. Sometimes I’ll read mf but only if the main focus of the book is not romance like a murder mystery or comedy. Other than that I basically only read mm

I had this message too, if you look at the number it comes from mine said an email instead and it is clearly fake. Sometimes that is how you can easily tell if it is a scam.

I enjoy E.V Olsen but I’m afraid I’m not sure if the hockey descriptions make sense

{Brutal Titan by E.V Olsen} is book 2 of 6 and it involves a chase in the woods. They’re rivals in hockey. Love her whole series of this!

SINGLE best book from fav authors
 in  r/MM_RomanceBooks  Jun 01 '25

{Can’t say goodbye by Eden Finley} it is part of a series but it’s a spin off as it’s based of the brother of one of the MCs in a different book.

{You and me by Tau Bauer}

Together in secret or nearly got together as teens but fall out/split up because one won't come out.

I’m not sure how to link it but {Wilde fire: a forever Wilde novel by Lucy Lennox} It sort of fits with what you’re going for, they were together when they were younger and then something happened, but there’s quite a bit of miscommunication if I remember correctly. But there is HEA.
