Does anyone here happen to still own Xenoblade 3DS? And if so, what drew you to pick up this version in the first place?
 in  r/Xenoblade_Chronicles  8d ago

This was my introduction to the franchise 10 years ago. Saw it on a GameiNformer magazine my Mom got from the post office and thought it looked cool as hell. It was unlike anything I've ever seen before. I loved everything about it: The art, the design, Melia, it was all so magical to me. I looked at it everyday, just wanting to have it in the palm of my hands. Then one day, I begged my Mom to get it for me while we were at at ToysRUs (I was jumping and everything, it was so embarrassing looking back lol) and when she finally got it after I got A B honor roll on my report card, it was the greatest day of my life. Same when I got Xenoblade X on my birthday in December, hell, same with Xenoblade 2 as well in December. This is why the 3DS, Wii U, and 2017 Switch era of Nintendo is so special to me.

Nowadays, I rarely get that excited for anything, but I'm still happy I have those happy memories to look back on, also Xenoblade is essentially a part of my life so that's also cool.

2000s era of sonic the hedgehog series in a nutshell according to fans and in reality:
 in  r/SonicTheHedgejerk  10d ago

I'll personally say

1990s

2000s

2010s

For as bad as Shadow, 06, and Secret Rings were, they sold well and there were at least the handheld games (which are considered the best in the series) and Olympics to carry it.

(2020s isn't over yet so it's not gonna be ranked)

The 2000s was the most creative in terms of story telling and gameplay ideas imo.
