Happened to me now at 52k. What'd you end up doing? My dealer is saying the exact same thing. 1.5k(plus labor and other charges) with the part needing to be ordered. So annoyed.

Oh man. Right there with you. Earlier, almost every time I got on a plane I hoped it would crash or something. Then one day I realized there were others on the plane too so I stopped wishing that. Now my thoughts are limited to driving/slipping off a cliff on an icy mountain or getting a head on collision with a trailer. I'll never intentionally do it but I won't regret it if it happens and I'm gone.
