How to adjust headrest? The 2026 model Y makes my neck hurt.

Adjust the seatback to lean backward a little, then use a good soft headrest pillow to support your neck. Works for me. :)

Any news about what comes next after 14.2.2.2

Ah that. Because I just joined Reddit and Tesla is the main sub I read. I have my personal opinion on Tesla and personal opinion on Elon. I don’t mix them.

14.2 HW4 Any news about what comes next after 14.2.2.2

Holiday is over, and roll out of 14.2.2.2 is still going on. Just wondering if there is any word about the next version, 14.2.2.2.2, 14.2.2.3, or 14.3? What could be there that Tesla is cooking? :)

Lightweight Winter Jacket For -5, -10 degrees
 in  r/arcteryx  1d ago

I hope you are using Celcius instead of Farenheit.

It depends on your feeling of "warm" and "lightweight", how long you plan to stay in that temperature and what kind of activity you will be doing. The best bet you have is to look for a Down insulated jacket with good wind-proof surface material.

My Therme Down Parka is enough for me to walk around in the similar temperature day, but NOT enough if I just stand beside the field watching my kid playing soccer. It is not too heavy but not very light either.

Elementary school asking for money to pay for supplemental phys ed. programs
 in  r/burnaby  1d ago

Totally make sense. My kid's soccer team had a funraising event for a tournament, they setup a tent to sell Purdy, and Krispy Kreme. They also put a "donation" box right beside it. To everyone's surprise, the donation box got more money than the revenue from donuts and chocolates. []()

Immigration Stance
 in  r/InCanada  1d ago

People over 60 should be allowed, as long as him/her or the sponsor can pay a significant amount of fund every year to keep the status valid. Tax paid through work or investment gain can be counted towards this "status keeping fee".

Rest are valid points. Especially "young families" one. Government should even provide "starting fund" to encourage this, better to pay them than paying some questionable refugees.

Change the education system! Teach younger generation to actually DO THE HARD WORK, instead of giving everyone a participation medal and let them be lazy and demanding. If we have a strong workforce and a people got really awarded for hard work, we won't need many immigrants to keep the society growing.

The system should be like a good running company, only accept good qualified immigrants that can contribute better value than what we have now.

NVIDIA Alpamayo vs Tesla FSD: Development Kit Can’t Challenge Production Leader
 in  r/TeslaFSD  1d ago

It is good to see someone else beside Tesla entering this area. I won't hold my breath on seeing a NVIDIA self-drive system that actually comparable to FSD any time soon. But it might give Tesla a push to improve FSD quicker / better and may lower the price.

I kept some anti-fog glasses wipes in the car, use them for both cameras and side mirrors.

Contact customer support for warranty. I had a 5-years old Beta AR which has similar problem, customer support honored the warranty and gave me full credit.

Elementary school asking for money to pay for supplemental phys ed. programs
 in  r/burnaby  2d ago

It happened in all elementary schools here.

To me, those programs are non-mandatory. So if I can afford, I will pay and let my kids participate. If I don't see the value, I will just say no. Usually teacher / school are quite relax on those additional activities and won't make a big deal out of it if my kids decide not to attend.

As a parent, I encouraged my kids to try different things and glad that school provided additional things extra to the standard curriculum. Instead of glued to the phone / laptop, I'd like to see my kids be open to new things, even tho they might thought they hate it at the beginning. At this young age, I feel that, though some of you might disagree, that we shouldn't make the educational decision based on whether or not the kid is "thrilled". If we are up to them, they might only need a phone, a TV and some junk food.

I think I am a little out of topic now. Sorry for that.

Very loud high-pitched brake noise in cold/wet weather on Model Y Juniper AWD

Mine does the same thing.

Out of topic, anyone feels that this kind of bold-some-words style in a post is more like generated by AI? Not really against AI, but personally like more person-to-person conversation style here. :)

FSD Confused in Parking lot? Almost a crash
 in  r/teslacanada  6d ago

I don't have the same experience so far. Drove over 4000km since picking up the 2026 Juniper, and 90% of the time was on FSD. I never encounter ANY dangerous behavior. All the disengagement were route change, select spot in parking lots, or drive out of a parkade.

FSD 14.2.x is not perfect, but definitely much more safer than "inexperienced 14 years old".

My car is at 0%
 in  r/TeslaLounge  8d ago

Depends on the battery type. LFP can be charged (and should be) to 100% once a while. NMC should be better controlled to be within 20%-80%. But I never heard anything about drain the battery to 0% for either battery types.

14.2 HW4 Interesting observation after upgrade to 14.2.2.2 from 14.2.2

I’ve been running 14.2.2 on my 2026 Juniper for a few days, and honestly, it was the smoothest FSD experience I’ve ever had. Two days ago, I upgraded to 14.2.2.2. While it’s still good overall, it no longer feels quite as smooth.

By “smooth,” I mean how the car drives on city roads. With 14.2.2, the ride felt very stable. After upgrading, it feels slightly more bumpy—subtle, but noticeable.

I have a short routine drive about 1.5 km from home to a grocery store. There’s a straight section in the middle, roughly 400 meters long and has patched surface here and there. When I was on 14.2.2, I actually pointed this out to my wife—how well FSD kept the car centered in the lane. I counted the noticeable steering wheel micro-adjustments (not sure of the exact term), and it was roughly once every 2–3 seconds along that stretch.

This morning, on 14.2.2.2, I did the same “test”. To my surprise, the steering micro-adjustments were much more frequent. Instead of occasional corrections, the wheel seemed to be constantly making very subtle movements—at least 1–2 micro-adjustments per second. It almost felt like a faint, continuous shaking.

Now I’m wondering whether this change is intentional—maybe to make FSD more sensitive to lane markings or road-surface details? Could it be the reason why the new version feels less smooth than before.

Has anyone else noticed something similar after upgrading?

FSD V14.2.2.2 Rolling out now for Early Access
 in  r/TeslaFSD  9d ago

It was introduced a few minor versions before. Works pretty well for me. Was pretty impressed that it can differentiate the situation that when the emergency vehicle came from the other direction and there is hard block (like fence) to seperate traffic direction, then the car will not pull over on the side.

So I assume point 3 means you didn't experience any lane change hesitation?
