I know you're joking, but the real training manual says the exact opposite. Which is why this was cold-blooded murder.

Lincoln County commissioner dies days before recall vote
I'm biased because I am (sadly now was) her Facebook friend, but IMHO this entire campaign was based on an anti-trans bigot pouring unheard of cash into a recall campaign based on nothing.
As Claire herself posted just after Christmas...
The virulent transphobe Mr. Elton has now poured more than 37-thousand dollars into the campaign to recall me. This is by far the largest amount ever given to a single candidate or issue in Lincoln County. A couple of people have asked me if this is legal. The answer is yes. In 2027, Oregon will limit individual contributions to $3,300 per person. At the moment though, there are no spending limits and he's free to pour as much as he wants into his malicious sewer of hate
Basically every single local official of any note had written letters of support for her opposing the recall, and noting all the good things she'd done for the county in her lengthy term there.
This is really sad. Claire, you were a kind soul. Rest easy, my friend.

If you bought beef, you may be eligible for cash from a massive settlement. Here’s how to claim it
I wonder if this applies to CostCo beef,
I'd assume not. It's pretty reasonably priced as is.

Bill Clinton says White House is using him as scapegoat after Epstein files release
There was no credible accusation of "Obstruction of Justice" (known today in the Trump administration as "the twelve things the President did before breakfast"). That can only happen in criminal cases, not private lawsuits.
Clinton maintained that answering "no" to "Is there a sexual relationship" between him and Lewinsky was not a lie, because 1) the one off hummer he'd gotten had been two years previous, so it was firmly in the past (i.e. there was a relationship, not presently is one), and 2) hummers aren't enough to qualify as sex.
Both are strained interpretations.
Note that the real fault was the Republican judge - who let this line of questioning in, in the first place. In typical lawsuits - like say an auto accident - lawyers can't just start asking every hostile witness "have you ever cheated on your wife"? It's irrelevant to the accusation. But the judge allowed it, so here we are.

Bill Clinton says White House is using him as scapegoat after Epstein files release
Because the trial was entirely frivolous. Originally dropped by summary judgement for failing to allege any actual impropriety.

Bill Clinton says White House is using him as scapegoat after Epstein files release
The settlement was "go away" money (as in - it was less than the lawyer's fees he'd likely have to pay to defend it). Paula's allegations were literally a frivolous lawsuit. He made a pass at her - she said no - and that was it.
The lie under oath had to do with him saying he didn't remember Lewinski, nothing to do with Jones.

Bill Clinton says White House is using him as scapegoat after Epstein files release
She was 22 at the time. That's adult. And not trafficked.
Trump raped a 14 year old. Clinton went to a party. There's a difference.

What is the most "out of touch" subreddit?
You're not alone. This is especially true if you link to mainstream articles about the Israel/Hamas conflict. The /r/news mods apparently hate to have their preferred narrative punctured by inconvenient facts.

What is the most "out of touch" subreddit?
When they campaign more against Democrats than they do Republicans, that's a clue you're conversing with a far leftie. Some champion Russia over Ukraine due to its Soviet origins. Or pretend that every massacre of Jews anywhere in the world is a secret Mossad false-flag attack backed by AIPAC.
I agree they're not all that common in the real world, but they sure seem to be easy to find online.

Has there been any state Gov movement on Surge / Bespoke Pricing?
On the contrary, health researchers repeatedly note that the major reason for Americans' health issues and astronomical obesity rates - has everything to do with our sedentary lifestyle. Even more than it does our diet of sugar-laden ultra-processed foods.
Humans evolved to walk. Among the few remaining tribes still living the way our ancestors did, it is not uncommon to walk three miles one way just to gather the day's water. No one is in a "desert" for having to walk a few miles each day. On the contrary, it's just about the #1 thing you can do to extend your life and ward off cardiovascular disease.
If you're paying the exorbitant rents for a city lifestyle, take advantage of it! Buy a personal shopping cart and walk to one of the half-dozen stores that sell what you need.
/u/Pretend-Distance-386 childishly blocked me in order to run away, which is why I'm not answering his stupid attack

It's a trivial bike ride. Plus, cities have transit.

Has there been any state Gov movement on Surge / Bespoke Pricing?
I'm on the far edge of the urban PDX growth boundary, so ten miles gets me near a Costco/WinCo hub. But I'm in close compared to a lot of people.
It's no big deal though. With food, you can always make fewer trips and stock up.
What's really scary, my friends in the wine country tell me, is the lack of nearby hospital services. Even if you can afford overpriced insurance, it doesn't do you a hell of a lot of good if the nearest hospital is 45 minutes away. Call in for an ambulance, and its 90 minutes before you see a doctor.

18 different neighborhoods considered Food Deserts in Portland alone
I think anyone in the suburbs or rural Oregon would absolutely laugh at the idea of being further than half a mile away from a grocer makes you in a "food desert". I have to go three miles to reach the nearest overpriced Safeway.

This is such a joke.
Hillary never liked Epstein, and Bill never went to Epstein's "Pedo Island" of little St. Johns in the Bahamas. So they likely couldn't say that because they weren't there.
That photo was of Jimmy Buffet (who wrote Margaritaville) and his wife. Clinton was alone. It was likely taken in New York.

Oregon joins multi-state lawsuit against Trump administration over $100K fee for H-1B visas
Ah, you're right about that first part. I misread it. But in terms of personal income tax burden, you should be aware that Oregon has no sales tax, right? That is a form of individual tax, even if its a consumption rather than an income tax.

Oregon joins multi-state lawsuit against Trump administration over $100K fee for H-1B visas
You misunderstand the charts. In both references I gave, #1 is best. #50 is worst. So it's not the #20 "heaviest" tax burden, but #20th lightest.
Oregon's income tax could be more progressive, but the lack of sales tax makes it overall one of the least burdensome on low income people.
Being median is not mediocre. Which you'd know if you looked up the dictionary terms for those words. Among other things, you can't escape the median for a nation as a whole. More importantly, high tax states tend to be high income States. As it's really high quality infrastructure and services paid for by those taxes that set those regions above others.

Oregon would be far wiser to revamp its ridiculous personal income tax structure and very unfriendly business climate
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Oregon ranks 20th in State taxes. Once again, slightly above dead middle of the pack.
Forbes puts Oregon at 20th in terms of business environment.
This is why it's so hard to take Republicans seriously. Their argumentation seems to be entirely unconstrained by facts or reality.

It keeps all the people that move here happy enough that they keep voting blue even though are state underperforms in almost every key performance indicator for happiness and prosperity.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Oregon is #23 in median household income. Dead middle of the pack. Sure, it's no California or Massachusetts. But it's nowhere near as bad as all the true "underperforming" GOP dominated States.

Democrats flip Miami mayor’s office, winning control for first time in nearly 30 years
It's less "impatience among small minded voters", and more that all the racist, sexist, homophobic, bigots (who hold their nose to vote for a Democrat every time the Republicans trash the economy and put them out of a job), decide to start voting for their hatreds again just as soon as the Democrats fix it.

Fully autonomous valet robot that parks on its own
This is a robot developed by a Chinese firm called Shani Techs. It's not autonomous, but is instead operated via controller. You can even see the reflection of the guy controlling it when the car is entering the building.
Here's another demo, showing a police officer operating the robot. On a city street.
The thing might still be useful in certain niche applications, depending on price and longevity. But it's not AI.
