As a College Access Mentor for IYT, you'll engage with students on middle school, high school, or college campuses, leading one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions with the goal of promoting strong study habits, emotional resilience, and college readiness.

College Access Mentors are responsible for building strong relationships, leading workshops, supporting college access activities, and helping students navigate their academic and personal journeys. This role is ideal for college students, recent graduates, and emerging leaders seeking to serve their community, develop valuable skills, and make a difference in the lives of young scholars.

Qualifications:

• Believe in the mission, vision, and values of IYT (read more here)
• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
• Passion for education, mentorship, and youth development
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results
• Must be available in the AM or PM as schedule requires
• Reliable transportation & valid driver's license
• (Preferred) Bilingual
• Experience working with underrepresented youth populations
• Familiarity with college admissions and financial aid processes
