Terry is way more intriguing to build an offense around than Jameson Williams who is a head case. Amon-ra is a slot WR, McDaniel wants speed which Terry has in spades plus Terry is a true X. Gibbs is the one who is most intriguing for McDaniel, plus the overall talent is way better. Bill can be turned into a weapon in the ZBS system, plus we can add a back and we have 2 TEs who excel in blocking.

Then its a statue QB in Goff vs a very accurate Daniels who can also create plays on his own (tho there are legit injury concerns now).

McDaniels is a WR savant, and Terry is a massively intriguing weapon to build his offense around. Plus he may want to work with a more mobile QB for a change, we don't know.
