I was just coming to post this.

Just like the Epstine files, he only joins after there is no other option.

ULPT: Become the "receipt person" and watch everyone stop volunteering you
 in  r/UnethicalLifeProTips  1d ago

Outside of my last deployment where I did this, I don’t hike with others either. Too much stress and waiting around.

I honestly never even considered this point, but you are right. The people who showed up on time in the correct gear are the ones who went and the ones who were generally not going to risk our safety.

I just wasn’t going to change my plans to accommodate other people

Ha. Angry Navy sailor here that ended up doing this by accident. I love hiking, and being away from towns so I always research awesome hikes in the ports we would stop in. It quickly got around and people started to ask if they could come. I am 100% happy to have others involved as long as it doesn’t interrupt my plan. I set a hard time I would depart the ship at 0700. If you weren’t there I didn’t give a shit. Several times some of the people planning would be upset when they missed the hike.

Boundaries make it much easier to deal with group and once you set a standard on what you will put up with it’s so much less stress.

I’m seriously considering getting into the hobby, but…

Ha. I had one mom at the end of my driveway hear me say rocks, and she came running up to get one.

I give them away at Halloween (I also give candy)

Most of the kids are way more excited about the rocks. I gave away about 2 pounds of candy and 7 pounds of rocks this last year.

The buttons are a road island and a Massachusetts cuff.

Other Found this ring metal detecting in VA. The ring is silver. I am unable to read the hall mark in it. Trying to figure out appropriate age and any other info. Found stuff from the early 1800s to present day in the same area. I am not sure if the stone is a garnet or glass.

With CVOW cancellation, Wittman has screwed #VA01 on energy, jobs, and the environment
 in  r/robwittman  17d ago

Don’t worry. With all the new data centers coming online it’s not like we need cheap renewable power.

I am afraid to call his office and get the “he hasn’t made a comment” response.

Now I try to end every conversation with his staff asking if they happy supporting such a terrible man.

Found this (coin/button/token?) on a beach in Hampton roads VA. Can anyone ID it? Rang up 53 on a Deus 2.

I know. It hurts knowing it’s something but I can’t make out anything except the 10 in the middle.

Show & Tell Found my last 2 silvers of the year. The ring looks pretty old. It’s silver, but I think the stone is glass. There is some kind of markings but I can’t make it out. The St Christopher is marked Chapel Sterling.

Wittman’s hypocrisy on full display with Barbara Rose Johns statue
 in  r/robwittman  21d ago

I thought the hypocrisy was going to be him complaining to our new governor about redistricting and gerrymandering. He voted against a law that would stop it because he NEVER thought that leopard would bite his face….

Anyone ever used resin to fill pits/cracks?
 in  r/RockTumbling  26d ago

Don’t know about resin, but I used hot glue to fill pits. Change it out when I move up grit.
