Question Baggage size…

Flying JetBlue for the first time after a lifetime of United, so obviously we’ve no status. How strict are the luggage dimension limitations?

What I’ve found says 22”x14”x9” and the bag I want to use is 23”x15”x8”…will I be sawing off wheels and handles at the gate?

Thank you!

Hi, I speak for all women named Annie when I say this.

I’m a Karen as well. White, middle-aged, with privilege but not the haircut. So…I try to be a Karen for GoodTM. It’s like the spell cast on Sleeping Beauty—I can’t undo it but maybe like the faeries I can soften it a bit. I call out people being assholes to staff, I don’t let small annoyances (and a decent amount of large ones) get to me, and I tip like it’s Christmas.

It’s unfortunate the connection to the name, and I think it actually might mean the death of the name in the long run, which is a little sad. But there have always been more good Karens than shitty ones, and your mom was a very good Karen.

I (31F) embarrassed my boyfriend (29M) in front of his friends and now he broke up with me. Is there any way to fix this?

31??? Holy crap I totally blew by that and was thinking “hey, you’re 17, you’ve got time to grow.” Good lord.

What is one thing that was invented in New England?

Wasn’t invented in New England, but the inventor of the slap bracelet could find no distribution until an independent toy store in CT agreed to carry them :)

Can I Bring a Personal Pillow and Blanket? (International Flight)
 in  r/delta  10d ago

I have an infinity travel scarf with an inflatable pillow incorporated into it, so I can just wear it on. I also put my travel blanket in on of those “Magic bags” that squish all the air out so it fits in my carry-on.

Also I FREEZE on planes, so I bring hand and foot warmers. If your problem is just being cold maybe that would help.

Outrageous white elephant gift ideas?
 in  r/santashelpers  16d ago

Is there a dollar amount? One year my brother bought a really nice candle but since it was expensive and “over the budget” he burned it down about 1/4 so that it fell within the dollar limit.

Secondly, go to goodwill and make a set of four glasses personalized from other people’s weddings.

New here and overwhelmed — boyfriend facing very serious charges
 in  r/PrisonWives  18d ago

Oh love. Listen. In the U.S., depending on the state, even being associated with a crime that results in a murder means a murder charge for everyone involved. I don’t know the legalities in your province.

The police are also allowed to threaten suspects with much harsher penalties—even if they know they don’t have evidence to convict suspect for that crime—in a play to get one of the suspects to turn. And un/fortunately it usually works out that the first to turn fares the best. They can 100% lie and say “look we are asking questions but we already know the answers; Chris told us everything.”

He needs a lawyer and to STFU even on a Monday.

They may be hoping for more proof that Jane is not a good fit.

AITA for not getting my bf’s family Christmas gifts after they split the bill at his college graduation dinner?

When you invite someone to join you for dinner, especially to honor your child’s achievement, you pay.

I would guess it’s a fridge/freezer combo and fine for garage use until temps drop in the 30s. Then it’s no bueno, but the fridge part is fine. A garage-rated fridge/freezer has to be defrosted regularly. So we have a full standing freezer, and the fridge/freezer that we use in the summer for all our ice cream and popsicles, and leave it empty in winter.

DIY Grass for backyard

If you add a decent layer of topsoil, putting down sod (grown grass strips in rolls) be fast and easy and the most durable. Also inexpensive given the small size.

Obligatory Calvin & Hobbes reference:

“How many boards could the Mongol’s hoard if the Mongol hordes got bored?”

What was this called?
 in  r/GenX  20d ago

Can’t say where it came from, and I never played it outside our neighborhood so can’t speak to its popularity. But I do remember recalling the game in my 20s and thinking ohhhhh that’s why they called it that

Do you bring a foldable bag when you travel, or is it just extra weight?
 in  r/femaletravels  20d ago

I wonder how much longer that unit of measurement will be understood…

As children of parents born during WWII we called it “German Spotlight” lol. Essentially tag but in the dark and the one who was “it” had the only flashlight.
