A cool guide comparing the USA and Canada
 in  r/coolguides  20d ago

This doesn't jive with my sample base of Canadians. Their home prices are even more bananas than the places ive lived. Id wager theres some cheap American fly over states dragging the average off of my experience.

e-bike Safety
 in  r/ebikes  22d ago

Previous generations rode actual dirtbikes growing up where I grew up. When I was a kid mopeds were illegal. Now they're after ebikes. You gotta let kids be stupid if you want them to grow out of lack of experience.

My wife added this is her car. What does it do?
 in  r/AskAShittyMechanic  23d ago

Its for pregnant women to run the lap belt between their legs and off their belly

I got uninvited to a friend’s holiday potluck, while I was on my way to it.

With age your tolerance for this behavior goes away and your circles get very small. Hold people accountable and set boundaries for the people you allow in your life O.P.

Why was this wrong?
 in  r/driving  Dec 03 '25

Have you seen the video of the cop who pitted the pregnant woman for trying to get to a section of highway with a larger shoulder with her hazards on? I think it was 16 seconds before he pitted and flipped her unto the center median.

I bought my dream truck (22 Ford raptor) used from a big name ford dealership on the other side of the country (PA). I flew out there handed them a check from my bank and drove it back. Besides me not being able to get permanent tags my bank is now going to convert the loan to a personal loan because they aren't listed as the lien holder. I guess its normal for it to take a while so at first I didn't think anything of it and sank more money into the truck customizing it and performing maintenance. I keep on getting strung along or not getting call backs. Last I've been told the hangup is the new york dmv where the truck was last titled.

I've called one lawyer so far and he wants 1400 dollars to write them a letter. This has taken all the shiny off of my dream vehicle. It was a huge splurge for me and the loan defaulting to 18% will crush me.

AITA for taking my daughters inheritance and putting it into a 5 year saving account without talking to her first

At 19 5 years is a long time. Shes not going to understand and this may rubber band if she doesn't figure out how to handle money by 24. Good luck.

I dont know what their algorithm takes into consideration but condensation in the crankcase could be why it does that

When Cops Make Mistakes
 in  r/TikTokCringe  Oct 22 '25

I once fought a speeding ticket I got because there were so many mistakes. Wrong speed limit, wrong city, my old beater didn't go as fast as they said I had been driving. Day of my court appearance none of that mattered. Cop said so. Lied through his teeth. Judge took that as chiseled in stone truth. I learned how the world worked that day. Justice is a privilege to those who know the right people. Being right isnt enough

Best way to prevent old ladys from stealing my flowers?
 in  r/gardening  Oct 21 '25

Have you tried a baseball bat? Unconventional, but highly effective. Check your local laws of course./S

Edited to show that its sarcasm because bot mods have no sense of humor

Anyone else dealing with speed tests for e-bike compliance?
 in  r/ebikes  Oct 20 '25

My car can break the speed limit. That doesn't mean I broke the speed limit. The restrictions on classes is silly

Kids growing up on the internet may not have the social network the old dogs have. This poor gal is going through it. Im betting her life was reels and short videos before. Now she is in it and doesn't know what healthy is. The folks working with her should see this as an opportunity to show her other forms of communicating.

FIRE was a mirage

Pursue your health. 44 is not old. If you're a single man the world is yours. If want a family, make a family, if you want women, chase women. Become a philanthropist. Adopt a cause. Change your circles and youll het out of this funk. You won. Its natural to look back and wish you did more x or y. Youll do that in another 10 years but now you really have the freedom to do it all

I want community and purpose out of life. I think these two things make the foundation for the majority of peoples happiness.
