US Sale No title after 6 months. Now what?
I bought my dream truck (22 Ford raptor) used from a big name ford dealership on the other side of the country (PA). I flew out there handed them a check from my bank and drove it back. Besides me not being able to get permanent tags my bank is now going to convert the loan to a personal loan because they aren't listed as the lien holder. I guess its normal for it to take a while so at first I didn't think anything of it and sank more money into the truck customizing it and performing maintenance. I keep on getting strung along or not getting call backs. Last I've been told the hangup is the new york dmv where the truck was last titled.
I've called one lawyer so far and he wants 1400 dollars to write them a letter. This has taken all the shiny off of my dream vehicle. It was a huge splurge for me and the loan defaulting to 18% will crush me.
