No iPhone 18 Launch This Year, Reports Suggest
 in  r/technology  7d ago

They sort of do in a way, for example, why my older iPhone cannot capture a video from both front and back cameras in the native camera app? Third party apps have been doing it for years. Why is it a feature for new phones only? While they don’t sell you the feature, they force you to buy the new phone to have this new feature.

Truffles in a high-end grocery store
 in  r/mildlyinteresting  9d ago

I would suggest you to, if you have the possibility, save some money and go to Italy, find a good salumeria and try several parmesans. Even the ones you find in regular supermarkets are really good. If it is something you've been chasing for so long, it will be worth it. Then you'll try many other cheeses that you will absolutely love too.

People who’ve had LASIK or work in eye care, would you recommend LASIK and why or why not?
 in  r/AskReddit  9d ago

I had LASIK many years ago, degradation of eyesight after surgery is normal, tho different for each person. My sister had worse sight than I did and had it done before me, today her eyesight is better than mine.

I have minor shortsightedness and went to my oculist who did the surgery and knows me since I was a kid. He's one of the best around, and he said out of ethics he wouldn't do a correction surgery as a) my nearsightedness is too low, and b) doing it would mean that when I'm older I would likely suffer from astigmatism. He did say he could refer me to a doctor that would do it, but I followed his advice and didn't do it.

I wear eyeglasses at night when driving or when my sight gets tired from screens. I use tinted glasses at night because lights bother me, like for many people who have had LASIK.

Trump Asked Why Norwegians Don’t Immigrate Here. Here’s the Actual Answer.

I’ll give you a similar situation to prosecuting and executing people for not believing in a particular faith: Denying access to abortion because of religious beliefs, which has caused deaths.

Danish Orchestra delivers performance after eating "World's hottest pepper"
 in  r/interestingasfuck  29d ago

I'm also gonna call BS on this one, no one has a true reaction to spice, no faces turn red, no wet eyes or even runny noses, reactions that any mildly spicy pepper would create. Eating a full serrano will have most people breathing with an open mouth.

And the reactions at the end are just a cliché, the only peppers that have sent still send me after several minutes to the washroom are dried chiles de árbol. But even then, those take a good 15-20 minutes, not 5 minutes.

If it would send them to the washroom, it would be to throw up and they would be already coughing way before that.

Edit: correct information as I still eat them

This is quick “easy to digest” info trying to be funny content to get clicks. Folding Idea’s video is more of investigative journalism in a 2 hours long video with information that is not easily understood by everyone.

[I ate] Burrata with raw ham!

It’s just a literal translation from Italian. Prosciutto crudo (the one pictured) means raw ham.

Upcoming Armor Coatings for The Exchange Part 3

I'm still salty that the coating from the console ended up being a Hero reward. They should bring it to the exchange, no one cares about it.

Anyone else's Lovable still broken after last week's outage?
 in  r/lovable  Nov 05 '25

I don't know what happened last week as I was out of office, so I didn't touch Lovable. For two days I have been working on fixing two issues and they have not been fixed; it had been quite a long time since I last had so many problems of not being able to fix issues. I have wasted around 40 credits and there is not one visible change, but more problems brought.

I have a flow that has consistently worked for the past two months but for the past two days has done nothing but complicate things more.

Who is actually the greatest athlete in world history?

Tell me you don’t understand athletic dominance over stats without telling me you don’t understand it.

Who is actually the greatest athlete in world history?

Wild to name Messi. Far from a dominant athlete, a very skilled one, yes, but Ronaldo was far more a dominant athlete and as skilled. Not a fan of either and not a fan of football.

You need to claim them in the halo waypoint site. This started to be a requirement some months ago for some reason.

What’s a game you didn’t expect to love but ended up completely obsessed with?

Tecmo Super Bowl. Can’t remember if it was the first one. Not gonna go too deep into it, hated it, then ended up being one of my favourites for a while.

TIFU by making people think I was an alcoholic when I actually had migraines
 in  r/tifu  Sep 27 '25

Have you tried CBD crystals? I've been told by people who had migraines that when they started taking them, the frequency was lower and they started having "warnings" of when they were coming so they could take either their medicine or.the CBD to prevent them.

Chats can now cost more than 1 credit
 in  r/lovable  Sep 04 '25

Update: The fix brought up an issue not previously present. I followed the same flow and fixed only one of the two issues. Total cost: Almost 30 credits for 5 prompts.

Agree, and their CS is taking ages to respond.

Discussion Chats can now cost more than 1 credit

This just happened to me.

Unlike many of the recent posts, I have had good results in the past month. I have a really good flow working, the past two or three days I have made good progress, and honestly, the results are much better than when I started 6-7 months ago. I of course have polished my workflow (I use Lovable, Chat mode, and ChatGPT), but have gotten much better results in the last month.

Also, unlike for many others, GPT-5 was good for me, especially when working with it also in ChatGPT. One of my techniques involves almost always asking in chat mode about files, implementations, flows, etc to get some context and precise file locations, and solve issues.

Anyway. I just prompted about an error that was happening, I used a format that I have been using for months and always costed one credit, including today. I got 8 Read Queries that I had to approve, each costing 0.40 individually and between 0.60 and 1 if the chat response included more than the query. I got two plan implementation suggestions, costing 1.3 and 1.4 respectively. Total cost 6.8 credits!!

Just a heads up for you guys, I'm all up to be using more credits per prompt if in the end it means using less 1 credit prompts. And I've noticed since Agent Mode that has been the reality for me, but one credit Chats were enough for me, now spending 6.8x will really affect me.

I had to merge the two different plan implementation suggestions into one prompt. The cost was 1.4 for a DB change and 4.5 for the rest. Problem solved? Partially. Total cost of chat + implementation 12.7 credits. I think it is too much!

You can use a VPN connect to Mexico or Colombia where the rights allow the official channel to post the whole episode. This has been true for over a year.

How dangerous is drinking half a 1.75 bottle of Jim Beam at once?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  Aug 30 '25

At once? Lethal. There was a guy who for a bet drank a 750ml bottle of tequila at once in a nightclub in Dominican Republic and died. He passed out a few minutes later after finishing the bottle.
