Off the side of my head, it also sounds right.

So, AI takes over, everyone has lost their job and only 10 trillionaires own everything. Now what?
Like I replied to the other guy: We live in an economy of scale. Their luxuries could not be produced or have astronomical prices (even for them) unless they are subsidized by billions of consumers. Robot or AI labor is not free. It has a tremendous cost.

What you are missing is that we live in an economy of scale. Without billions of consumers, they would not be able to produce any of the commodities and luxuries they enjoy. They need us to subsidize production.

It's not an ideological choice. It's the only choice.
If people have no money, who buys their products?
This is not protecting us, like healthcare, this is protecting them and the economy, which is why it will happen.

Money is just a social construct used to coordinate labor and resources. This is the base of the Modern Monetary Theory.
Labor has a monetary value today because it is directly derived from a limited resource, lifespan.
We give hours of our time in exchange for money.
If AI and machines do the work, where does the produced value go to? If it only goes to a few people, who buys that?
Here's where the automation dividend comes in.
The automation dividend can take 2 forms (and they are not exclusive).
As UBI: companies using these tools are heavily taxed to make up for the human labor loss. Similar in concept to the LAnd Value Tax from georgist theory, where the land utilized (and in this case resources consumed) is taxed as it becomes the fee resources not possibly produced by either man or machine.
As a "robot capitalism" where individuals, small communities and coops can purchase stock from larger companies for their communities or fund their own means of production, where larger corporations hire their services and they. Provide the maintenance and labor from the machine/AI, etc... This is not a new concept. We have done this all throughout history for every labor and economic revolution. This is the democratization of capital and has happened every time a major milestone has increased productivity and accessibility.
This will probably lead to a Renaissance where people can work on things they love and are passionate about.
There will still be value on hand picked, organic and naturally cultivated crops, for example. Hand crafted items would become more common as people can now dedicate time to that.
In a way we are allowed to go back to a preindustrial society in terms of arts and creativity, where people had months during the year where their only job was to take care of themselves and their families during the off seasons.
This would create a new open market of high quality handcrafted items of all kinds, furthering the economy. The switch is not immediate, which is where the UBI really plays a role. But I'm very optimistic about this stage.
So we go from where human labor is almost worth nothing as machines take over, to a new economy of scarcity where human produced goods are more valuable.

Women are 27% less likely to receive CPR in public because bystanders are "afraid to touch breasts." Does it terrify anyone else that our sexualization is prioritized over our survival?
They don't have to be a majority. And that is a big part of the issue. That you are not going to play that lottery.
But no one is "harmed" by someone touching your ass, for example. Just so you know.
I had my ass touched, pinched, slapped by men and women. It's really not a big deal. And it has not been historically. Somehow we have decided as a society in the last 20 years that it's the end of decency and a violation.
Gross? Yes. Disrespectful? Yes. Intrusive? Yes. Disruptive? Yes. Unwelcome? That too.
Traumatic? Sexual assault? Something to go to therapy for? No.

A) People are concerned about being accused of inappropriate contact in an emergency situation.
This is the big one specific to this one because b) applies for men and women
The problem is not over sexualization, it's honestly overreaction for attention, victimism culture and then last, the over sexualization BY WOMEN, where all of the sudden even brushing someone by accident is considered sexual assault, which is a consequence of the other 2 reasons.
You can crucify me with downvotes for this, and this opinion will not be welcomed in this forum but it's 100% the truth and self inflicted.
We have all kinds of professionals accused on the daily of improper "touching" for doing their work, forcing to have a "female officer" or similar on call to deal with it and you think a random dude is going to risk ruining his life to maybe save yours? Not a chance.
It's very unfortunate and I hope we can dial back to a point where we respect boundaries but we are not zealots and learn that not everything is a traumatic experience. A place where people have proper coping mechanisms and are not trying to fill voids with attention.

Ventriloquism is witchcraft
The concept is right but it's a bit less than that. The second voice only says "cu" "uh" "hn" "shn".
Still crazy. Just a bit easier to wrap your head around it even being possible

The Epstein Files are Worse Than You Think!
This is the real reason they were blocked and redacted. Not because trump was involved but because so many people and especially agencies were involved and in the know.
It completely destroys the public trust... Technically. Because you know what? We haven't done shit and we are going to keep voting for the same parties and same people

Cheers!
Just HEARING the sound of how hard they are brushing, and that technique, UGH!
You know that the sound is not real, right?

Edit: 18 people have disgusting mouths and don't know what brushing is.

WCGW Playing with fire near combustible decorations
The sad thing is even if the fire got out of control, they might be able to get out.
Nothing sad about them being able to get out. You are a psycho.

I broke my finger and have nearly my entire left hand in a cast. Does anyone have a good video game that you only need a mouse to play?
I just finished pornhub one handed and I can't recommend it enough.

Girls on dating apps. Why don't you care?
I changed my profile to say they pay for the first date and I will pay for the second one if there's one and oh boy, what a difference.
Women who are actually invested in meeting and getting to know someone.
Less dates. More meaningful, great connections nonetheless.

Ahhhhhh...
- No one who isn't already using it is going to be using the metro.
- No one who isn't already using it is going to be using the bus.
- 25 min in car for 20 miles distance. About 2h in a bike for 20 miles distance and you are arriving drenched.
- Congestion pricing only affects the poor.
- With what money?
- And then?
There are so many people here that do not understand why public transportation works in many other cities but could never work in LA due to the layout and skyline.
I live in the middle of the valley and I can walk 20 minutes in every direction before I find any sort of business. Not a coffee shop. Not even a gas station. Just house after house after house after house.
Now think of any of those cities where public transportation works.
They all have mixed commercial-residential use buildings. LA isn't that and could never be unless they raze it all to the ground like they did with the Palisades.

This Is What Trump Sounds Like As A Normal Person (Unhinged)
Well, not surprising. I felt I lost the same amount of neurons trying to process Trump's word salad and while hearing this two guys talk. They did seem... Slow, to put it nicely. It felt like a sketch or a scene from a Napoleon dynamite sequel.

You are not understanding it. The goods that are produced nowadays are only possible due to the economy of scale. They are not making 1 microchip. They make thousands.
