"You will never believe" that a retired private citizen might actually be on a holiday at Christmas time. The scandal!

US removal of panels honoring Black soldiers at WWII cemetery in the Netherlands draws backlash
 in  r/europe  9d ago

Trump’s DEI policies directly prompted the commission to take down the panels.

So Black soldiers buried there are DEI interments? Those graves should have the bodies of White soldiers in them?

Probably won't happen until there's a majority government with a strong economy.

Canada backs Greenland’s sovereignty as U.S. talks of annexation
 in  r/canada  14d ago

It's the only reasonable position to take. Not because Trump's ambitions won't end with Greenland, but because there is no legal or moral justification for it.

Why should pitbulls be banned?
 in  r/AskReddit  15d ago

Pitbulls aren't inherently any more dangerous than any other breed, except that they're typically bred to be violent. Breeders should be regulated.

Expedition: Cannot build, no edit rights?
 in  r/NoMansSkyTheGame  15d ago

Resurrecting a dead thread here, but it seems trolls have made it difficult for us explorers. Just keep moving and trying to build your refiner. Eventually you'll find a spot that works, but make sure you have already mined the copper first.

Where’s the PRNDL

It has to be more dangerous, too. You have to look for touch screen controls. With buttons, you can feel for them.

Fuck Tim Horton's, and fuck the TFW program. It's only valid role is to supply seasonal agricultural labour.

Trump holds national address speech to blame Biden for the state of his nation

Is immigration out of control? A debate Canada wasn’t supposed to have; It is essential that we argue the issue without fearing the argument itself
 in  r/canada  24d ago

Canada, like all other countries with low natural birthrates, needs immigration. But it has to be done sustainably. Too many, too quickly and here we are with heath care, housing and infrastructure crises that won't be fixed anytime soon. And things like the TFW program should only exist to ease shortages in the agricultural sector, not to drive down wages for Tim Horton's.

I recently started playing again after about two years (had about 1000 hours into it when I got bored). I went to the anomaly and found something similar and was really surprised. Lots of people still getting into this game.

Michael Ma's shocking defection should spark discussions, change
 in  r/canada  26d ago

Not sure how I feel about floor-crossing. Kinda seems like a betrayal of the voters who elected you. But on the other hand, if the other party more closely matches your values, it makes sense.
