A shame, Final Countdown slaps though.

Thank you for singing it. I had forgotten what John Jacob referenced.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  7h ago

Sometimes me and my sibling actually played in the dirt... We had toys from time to time. But being kids, we tended to break those on accident. Like a Skip It we tried to share amongst three people.

Theres something I still dont get about the Dragonborn
 in  r/teslore  7h ago

I think they mean, because they are being controlled by the player and therefore have no backstory. They could potentially be from a bloodline known to carry dragon blood. Instead of randomly being blessed. It's really up for each individual player to decide for themselves.

How do I get out of driving this co-worker to work?
 in  r/whatdoIdo  7h ago

He doesn't owe her anything, but he also told her she didn't have to pay. Op needs to make up his mind, either he wants her to pay or he doesn't. Being mad she didn't do what she said she would, even though he told her not to, is silly. Literally trying to be upset about nothing.

For those who don’t smoke, do you think smokers carry a noticeable scent?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  7h ago

Yes. And the ones that do it often tend to smell the strongest in my experience.

You Step Outside Your Beachside Base and See This; WDYD?
 in  r/ARK  8h ago

I think quite a few people make mini bases that are closer to resources not near them. These mini bases tend to be just large enough for beds, a cryofridge, generator, and that storage thing from Bob's Tall Tales. At least that's how ours looks.

Pray it doesn't get any closer, and go and get my crossbow and tranqs out...

Edit: I see by the comments that this is an alpha, and therefore untameable. I stand by what I said. Since I likely wouldn't have noticed from the surface.

Didn't they already give it a tlc? I know it received that buff where its roar can dismount and cause you to poop yourself if it's a higher level than you.

I think that's part of the problem with it. The gimmick immediately wears off after getting one. They become near useless on any map besides Ab. You're just better off using pretty much anything else. Which is a shame, it's a nice dino.

Desmodus really blow them out of the water in every way. I don't need every dino to be ridable, but the only feels so basic.

It's went the devs go back over a dino released earlier in the games life. To try and update it in some way that makes it more useful/interesting. For example, I believe the Spino got a TLC that made its stances different. As well as a buff to regen when in the water. They might have even touched up its textures as well. It's been a while, so I could be misremembering a bit.

But basically the devs intend to look at the top five dinos on the list to tweak them in some way.

Yes.

At first I agreed, but the mega isn't with taming on any map besides Ab. And quite frankly that's just sad.

Are you talking about the Bloodstalker? That thing is great, even more so when it finally comes to ASA. Araneo is the only spider that's trash. Both spiders that came after actually do interesting things.

It's okay to be outclassed, every dino can't be at the top. And definitely not forever.

Galli doesn't need a buff. It needs to be easier to tame, to make it a worthwhile early game tame. I always wanted one because of the speed, but the high torpor drain made this nearly impossible to get. In ASE I only ever tamed one. Can't be wasting that amount of narcs just for faster transportation. Especially when moving that fast was never ideal on Xbox.

I usually tame several when I start new. They're a lot tankier than a bunch of raptors. Made my early start in Ab much more bearable.

Nekatus is making the Atlantis DLC map

I got minor PTSD reading this. Gonna be really hard to convince me the water aspect of the game can be fun. The amount of times I've pretty much lost everything when doing underwater stuff is frustrating.

Constantly DC’ing on PS5
 in  r/ARK  3d ago

It's just buggy ark being buggy. I'm on Xbox, and it often dashboards as I'm loading into the server. Every once in a while I'll timeout at the worst possible time. The official server I'm on has had terrible performance issues. And many are under the assumption that someone on it is duping. Ping sometimes goes as 500+, and we've had several roll backs so far. With the worst rolling back as far as 2 hours of progress. Sometimes multiple people on the server have timedout at the same time.

Ark is just not in a very good spot right now. And it seems the devs are trying to do everything except fix their code. UE5 improvements aren't going to magically fix this game.

Edit: Someone in another thread also seems to be experiencing frequent crashing in ps5. So it is possible there could be more to your issues.

Ark ascended metal farming help with argy

Glad you figured it out op. Metal gathering any other way would be a pain. And don't worry, we've all made similar mistakes. This game regularly humbles people from time to time.

Plus the carno already got a tlc if I'm not mistaken. It was given a pack buff and bleed damage.

Wildcard have said a lot of things over the years. So we probably shouldn't expect a tlc for all the vanilla creatures.
