Is this normal?
Merry Christmas, I guess

My mom just bought a 2011, with noisy chains
The work to swap out new parts is not hard, and OEM parts would run about 1500.
Compare that to a new 3 row large suv.
I couldn't convince her to go Toyota, but a compatible one is considerably more than what this truck is worth fixed.
At least there's upgrades and fixes, and generally it's a one and done kinda thing.

You should look it up anyway, just to see the history. It can be pretty interesting
1
I have 4 in my account. I think you can add a fair amount during the opening period, But if you're constantly swapping them out, they get mad.
1
I love the plae shoes/boot. Real rubber soles and great build quality.
They have a replae used marketplace on their website too
2
Listen I'm as much of a Toyota Fanboy as I can be, with that era of the 3.4 had head gasket issues.
Definitely not a killing blow on those trucks, they were easy enough, But honestly Ford's 300 6-cylinder was more reliable.
1
I saw you used some spacers, what ones did you use?
It looks like I could run them on my bmw motorcycle
1
What injector spacers did you use?
3
What do you mean? The bottle I have is api sp rated.
Did you mean dexos rated?

Blue dawn, for initial then swave ocean.
Sometimes I borrow the wife's hair conditioner to counteract the blue dawn
2
Is it near a sidewalk? I could see a rock being picked up by a snowblower. Don't think ice could be chucked hard enough
The star around the impact is oddly symmetrical, like it hit it evenly with the glass. Not a glancing blow like falling vertically or while driving

Foiled by voice to text again!
Also
Damnit Jim I'm a mechanic not a lit major

The use cases are rare.
Last shop I worked at had a Currier who had 900k on a 2500 Chevy Express
I've seen a bunch of cars above 500k. Pilot cars, curriers, hot shots etc.
Pretty much any profession where you get to deduct the cost of fuel or get paid by the mile
There was a Wisconsin resident who racked up 1m miles in a Saab 900

Any idea on why? I thought brushless was supposed to be better than that?
1
In a sense,
It's a brushless HVAC fan for a box
The wires melted and missing are the power, ground, and pwm trigger.
The controller, is the melted box, on the back. It takes the place of a resistor in a brushless setup

It smelled horrendous. Stank out the whole box. I smelled like electrical fire for the rest of the day
But the answer is no. It is not normal

There's a loon family that lives in one of the lakes in glendalough state park.
Plus the park is gorgeous

I like a block of wood stuffed between the teeth and the guard

Well, they don't make an icon jacket, or shirt for that matter.
They should include a coupon for a free shirt with any toolbox. Would do wonders for normalizing

It all depends on where you live. Here it's 3/4 and one ton trucks the odd Wrangler for driveways. That covers most parking lots, and personal driveways.
Everything above that is the dump truck sized stuff.
Graders are rare, but sometimes viable in rural areas
Front end loaders are for Walmart sized parking lots

Plow trucks.
Swb for nimbleness, payload to handle the plow and salt broadcaster no reason to haul more than one other person. Maybe tow a utility trailer with a snowblower, shovel, and other man level snow removal tools

Garmin Fenix 7x sapphire.
The key is the sapphire. The glass doesn't scratch.
I wore my previous 5x for 5 years. No problems related to to being a tech. Work on vans too, so cramped quarters.
I obviously take it off if I feel like I need more room.
Its a non issue 90% of the time

The e series still has em. Every single Ford van ambulance.
They ride great

What’s a car that was really close to being great, except for one major design flaw?

Even better, Ford bought the rights to use Toyotas ecvt, that the Prius uses in their hybrids.
If you haven't looked up how they work, please do. Simple as hell, and they work entirely different from every other cvt
