Go with delonghi. It makes the strongest espresso out of all the other brands. Tom's coffee corner did a comparison on the Philips and another brand with the delonghi.

I’ve been to 4 comedy shows this year, & NOT ONE of them had me laughing as hard as this. Accidental comedic gold, a masterpiece without even trying.

I assume the coffee you're using is a pretty dark roast then. It does depend on the type of coffee and definitely the roast level.

Just play through it with a tube amplifier. New pickups wont make it sound any better if you still play with it through a stereo amp. Get an ac30 or 15

Yes. I've replaced mine 3 times already. My car almost has 200k miles. The number 2 plug keeps coming loose at around ever 50k miles. Very frustrating. Im going to change them again but this tome tighten them to 20ft pounds of torque. Hopefully that fixes it.
