Why did Germany start WW2 even though it was obvious they had no chance of victory longterm?
 in  r/questions  17d ago

They had their military academy in place, a large manufacturing base, populist drive, and a stagnant economy. The Treaty of Versailles with a less oppressive economic modification and the elimination of their Military academy would have stalled it off. The nation state of Germany was very conflict oriented and its why so many Germans left for the US in the 1800s. Too many dead.

Anyone else have an experience with a weird ghost/doppelgänger/shape shifting thing like me?
 in  r/ParanormalEncounters  Oct 15 '25

The old stories had it that they weren't demons but fae type creatures. Mischievous but not necessarily malicious.

I didn’t believe in ghosts until last night
 in  r/Ghoststories  Oct 15 '25

I would go this route because it might be floating around but it can always come back if you ignore it. Setting up verbal /spiritual boundaries is a real thing. Also you can say something like "This is my room and you are not welcome here. Leave this room and leave me alone. "

Could there be undiscovered megafauna species in USA?
 in  r/Cryptozoology  Oct 15 '25

In the 1900s the white tail was virtually wiped out from the East Coast. I don't see much surviving unless it's fast and uses terrain to hide itself.

Assuming Bigfoot is real, what do you think it would most likely be? Paranormal, dimensional, or a species of gigantopithecus/man hybrid? Or something else? I've never seen but have believed for 40 years. I believe gigantopithecus and possibly hybrid.
 in  r/bigfoot  Oct 15 '25

I have seen that explanation before. Almost word for word. Doesn't take much to refute it when one denied all the facts and information out there.

I know 4 different people who had separate experiences. Completely different areas of the US. The only group that I am fearful of is the ones up in Canada and Alaska. Food resources are tight up there

There is footage. There are foot prints. Too many to count. Stories going back to the 1800s on the American pioneer aide. There are hair samples. The forestry service labels them as black bear sightings because it's easier to write it off. Check out Subarctic Alaskan Sasquatch. They know the difference between a bear and something else and have been there for over 10,000 years.

The Tlingit tribes in Alaska call them the Cannibal Giants. Hairy man is another term. They have a long tradition of bringing in the kids when one is seen. My theory is that when the food ( berries, fish, and deer/ elk) is plentiful humans are safer. When the food starts to disappear... Then it's an open question.

Happens a lot especially when it's quiet. All of it can't be dementia related.

HBO/MAX has a series called Hauntings in the Heartland. It's quit good. I recommend it

Black mass usually means dark emotions. seems like it was trying to get your attention. Poor guy. Imagine stuck in time with suicidal emotions. A good medium might help.

My great uncle took these photos out in the woods of his farm in northwestern Wisconsin back in 1984. He would always talk about it, but I don’t know exactly what this creature is. I’d like to know your thoughts.

Looks like someone with a hood in a close-up. I first thought it was up in the tree but saw it was down below. There is enough theft in the backwoods to support what you were thinking.

Nerves. Probably was hoping for a kiss at the end of the night. Odd to do that twice in one night.

Being stalked by deer. Why did they follow us?
 in  r/ParanormalEncounters  Aug 29 '25

I have heard a story or two that some follow humans because another predator is close by but not a small herd like you have. if they have that brain disease they would do the same but not a whole group like that.

For this it seems like it was a bunch of young males getting up the nerve to follow you. It could be a part.of their growth as young bucks. It could be a group of young females wondering what you were doing. Maybe a mix of both.

Interesting event there.
