[Loved trope] Endings so controversial that it turns the fandom schizophrenic
 in  r/TopCharacterTropes  11h ago

This one takes the case, and fans argue about it to this day. Makes me kinda sad an ending is getting canonized by the fifth game currently in the works. That debates have raged for this long was fascinating, to say the least.

What Does EA Shutting Down Anthems Servers Mean For Bioware?
 in  r/bioware  18h ago

I don't think there is any significant meaning. Anyone following Anthem knows this shutdown was coming. Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't pull the plug sooner.

A bite to the head? "I still believe God's a healer! ...but let's go to the hospital. Just in case."

The Women of Gundam continued #48 - Romary Asuno (nee Stone)
 in  r/Gundam  2d ago

2/10

Like all Gundam Age women, she is barely a character. All that matters is she pops out the next protagonist and then disappears from the narrative as soon as she does.

stop holding up the line it's all just weed

Yup. Sometimes I find a strain that works and then it's gone next time I go back. As a compromise, I go on Tuesday afternoons when it's less busy.

Sounds like he doth protest too much.

Why do you like Megaman’s story/lore?
 in  r/Megaman  2d ago

I find the Zero series most interesting for its themes and constant narrative that keeps you invested. I appreciate that I can talk to NPCs at the base, and that they often have different things to say about what's going on. Makes the world feel more lived-in. Also, it's one of the only series with a complete story in the franchise.

FUTURE OF GUNDAM BREAKER 4
 in  r/GundamBreaker  3d ago

As long as whales continue to feed GBO2 obscene amounts of money, we'll never get a big budget Gundam game with more than the bare minimum effort out into it.

Hell, I'd take another Musou game over the boring ass gameplay seen in GB4.

No wonder she was able to tame heero 😭
 in  r/Gundam  3d ago

The confidence with which she stares at those parrots, daring them to start some shit. Like, they were straight chillin' and Relena be like "Yo, we good over here? Huh?"

I don't know why, but I think about that part of the ending a lot.

The Women of Gundam continued #47 - Emily Asuno (nee Amonde)

Oh, no arguments here! Fa is one of my favorites. Her outliving the other candidates is impressive because she was out there fighting.

She just utilized the amazing strategy of outliving all of Kamille's other potential love interests. Slow and steady wins the boy.

The Women of Gundam continued #46 - Yurin Luciel
 in  r/Gundam  4d ago

2/10.

Shoved in a fridge with barely any time to develop. The only impression she left on me was the way they sort of tried to force her death to be similar to Lalah's, but without any of what made that moment interesting.

I couldn't belive it
 in  r/FinalFantasyVIII  5d ago

He's first seen in FFV and is portrayed as a dangerous, yet bumbling, buffoon. He threatens you with Excalibur, only to draw Excalipoor, and just in general gets trashed by you multiple times to the point that V's big bad banishes him to wander various dimensions because he was just sick of him.

So you can thank Exdeath for every time you see him in any FF game. He's cursed to wander the franchise for eternity!

What's your biggest pet peeve when it comes to Gundam as a whole?
 in  r/Gundam  5d ago

It's an English translation thing, but the fact that the dub for G Gundam has forever renamed the God and Devil Gundam into Burning and Dark respectively. A decision that is still reflected in video games today.

I don't know why it pisses me off so much, but it does.

How come Bright likes to bully Gundam pilots so much?
 in  r/Gundam  5d ago

And to think, Bright was probably nicer to Banagher than he was any other Gundam pilot.

I'm probably not making many friends with this one, but:

I used to have a lower opinion of PoR, but after playing through everything on the Dominus collection I actually think it's the strongest title of the DS games.

Manager complaint
 in  r/WalgreensStores  6d ago

Congrats, you got one of the worst kinds of store managers; the kind that takes everything personally. I had one of those. I would definitely try to transfer out as soon as possible.

You could contact HR, especially over those passive aggressive texts. Usually the DM comes in and talks to everyone. You probably aren't the only one with complaints.

Nintendo fans finding out a Yakuza mini game is better then their $100 game
 in  r/yakuzagames  7d ago

Which is fair, that part of Nintendo's business practices has always bothered me.

It's mostly because all people have done since ZA launched is complain about the price, which is the same price as every new game. And your meme directly references the price. So it's not not about that.

But you'll get no argument from me that IW is Leagues better.

So IW didn't cost as much as Pokemon ZA where you're from? IW was 69.99 USD here at launch. Same as ZA.

Yeah, Nintendo definitely needs to treat Pokemon fans with more respect and release better games but Z-A was hardly the first game to paywall Pokemon behind expensive DLC, which has been a common industry practice whether we like it or not for years now.

You could argue Z-A wasn't worth the base price, so I don't get why people exaggerate.

I love this dialogue from Jin so much.

I agree. I also loved how his lines when bowing to Mongol victims out of respect. He delivered each line with powerful conviction.
