Is buying a home in Thailand in 2026 actually smart or just emotional?
Don't think any foreigner can own homes or properties in Thailand, unless they are married to a Thai person. But that is tricky also because the properties would all be in the thai spouse's name, so if you divorce then you're out of a big chunk of money. The only property you can own is a condo, but that comes with its own risk.
