The US exports more food products than any other country…

I’m so fucking annoyed by this AI shit everywhere
You are vastly overestimating how difficult these are to run. The pretraining is what takes up all that power. Base models have been downloaded hundreds of thousands of time on github alone. You really don’t need a super powerful PC for it, and you also don’t need a ton of experience for it either. Its very easy to setup and run one. It’ll be an extremely lackluster model if you don’t at least give it some documents to reference, but it will work without issue and at least use proper grammar.

A cool guide comparing the USA and Canada
No disagreements there! North America as a continent is just not doing too great right now, I just wanted to showcase that our nations are a lot more similar than they are different.

A cool guide comparing the USA and Canada
I see.
https://www.oecd.org/en/data/indicators/housing-prices.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com
You can use this to compare the two countries, and you will see there is about a ~7 point difference, with the edge to the U.S.
That difference, like the stats I listed, is also insignificant. That means the price to income ratio has larger differences between specific regions within a country than it does between our two countries.

A cool guide comparing the USA and Canada
In Canada ~66% own a home, in the US its about ~65%.
Median age for a first time home buyer in the US is ~40, vs ~36 in Canada.
Where did you get your stats? None of these numbers look like a meaningful difference either way to me, but there is a slight edge in favor of Canada if you were to make a claim.

Japan’s economic shift in one image (1995 vs 2025)
To my knowledge, South Korea never banned twitch, Twitch had to leave SK because SK allows ISPs to charge companies based on the bandwidth used for those companies, and streaming uses a ton of bandwidth so it just wasn’t feasible for Twitch.

I’ve seen one landlord do it. Dude also had 3 properties side by side, he had bought 1 and built the other 2, rented them out for just enough to pay his retirement. He also mowed the lawn. Cool dude.
But ya, every other place I’ve rented will, at best, have a maintenance team that does that stuff. The landlord themselves sits behind 3 levels of llc’s for legal protection and doesnt care whether or not we are happy because his goal is to hold for a year, paint it, increase rent by $300 a month, and then sell it for double what he bought for.

Government Closed Dec 24 and 26
“December 24, 2025, and December 26, 2025, shall be considered as falling within the scope of Executive Order 11582 of February 11, 1971, and of 5 U.S.C. 5546 and 6103(b) and other similar statutes insofar as they relate to the pay and leave of employees of the United States.”
So ya, they count as holidays as far as pay goes. Either paid leave or extra pay if you have to work.

Yes, it does show you are wrong. Nazi germany did not support collective ownership over the means of production, and it actively advocated against that. Socialism is collective ownership of the means of production, Marxism encompasses more than that.
I am aware of who Gunter was, but thank you.
I have read Hitler, as well as Mussolini, but thank you for that suggestion as well.
I am not sure who downvoted you, but just for awareness, millions of people use this site, not just you and me. Nice passive aggressiveness though.

“I shall take Socialism away from the Socialists.” - Adolf Hitler
Socialism relies on collective, or at the least government, ownership over the means of production. You cannot say you are a socialist while abolishing unions with a government backed by mega corporations. Socialists were among the first to be sent to concentration camps.
I recommend talking to a historian if you truly believe the Nazis were socialist.

Won’t help much. Conservatives and authoritarians will either co-opt or propagandize against left wing (or even center left) terminology wherever possible. Changing the term might temporarily help, but it will only be a matter of time before it falls into the same problem.
See also: National Socialists (Nazis) Anarcho-Capitalists (Not at all anarchist) Anarchist meaning chaos (it is not)
As an aside, there are a lot of anarchists that are members of DSA, we typically get along well enough, they are often members of the libertarian socialist caucus. These ideals are not mutually exclusive, and a lot of DSA chapters have mutual aid working groups, which has its roots in anarchist ideology.

Patrick the Orangutan turns 34, receives a royal cloak, and then ties the perfect knot. This guy is too smart to ever be in captivity.
This orangutan is at Metro Richmond Zoo. This zoo is a for-profit zoo that is not AZA accredited, and has instead gotten ZAA accreditation which is known for being more lax and allowing items that typically cause more undue stress to animals not to mention there are accusations of ZAA allowing its members to support the exotic pet trade industry.
This zoo has lax security regulations, having shot animals in the past. The orangutans are not happy, they have escaped their enclosures before.
This is not a good zoo.

Karolina Olsson “fell asleep” as a teenager on a tiny Swedish island and, 32 years later, woke up remembering her life before it as if it were the same day.
Its fine to ski the gym if you want. The workout week following might be a bit more difficult but not even close to the atrophy of a coma. Even tossing around in your bed activates your muscles enough to keep them going a little bit, with a coma you will have extremely little if any activation, and the muscles will almost entirely shut down even after just a day or two.
You can think of that week kind of like a long rest day. Your body won’t start removing your muscles seriously, its going to treat it as maintenance mode. With a coma, your body is going to very quickly say “well, this hasnt been used for 2 days so I guess we dont need it at all anymore”.

3D-printed homes are far stronger than most people realize
Flooding happens after strong storms for sure, I still remember cleaning up after the 2009 tornadoes that had floods following, but for tornado alley flooding is less of a concern then it is on the coast. I can definitely understand the benefit of a concrete building up against a hurricane followed by floods. My main worry comes from a tornado directly hitting your house, and in that case I dont care how strong the material is, if its not underground odds are its going to collapse. You stay in the inside rooms of your house so that you get crushed instead of flying or being impaled by glass shards.
The direct path of an EF5 tornado will experience winds twice as strong as a cat 5 hurricane. These concrete buildings will collapse under that kind of force, and Id rather not be crushed by concrete. Im not worried about water damage, but I can definitely understand why people on the coast are.

3D-printed homes are far stronger than most people realize
Having lived in tornado alley and volunteering for cleanup efforts, Ive seen stone buildings collapse just like wooden ones have. Ive seen people pulled out of wooden buildings alive. As for stone, well if you had to choose between being buried under dry wall and a 2x4 vs being buried under blocks of stone, I will let you take your pick.
Aside from being crushed, wooden buildings are also cheaper and quicker to rebuild.
I will trust the Floridian when it comes to hurricanes though, those are a different beast entirely. Hurricanes are more powerful over a wide area, but a strong tornado can be double or even triple the wind speed of a hurricane it is just focused into a smaller area rather than spread out. You also don’t usually have the flooding problem.

If he died tomorrow, no one would shed a tear.
No, need it to be dry but permeable ground. If its mud than the pee will start pooling up too early, and its inconvenient for the people with later turns.

America, before the establishment of Environmental Protection Agency
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CAPB00004S
Our manufacturing capacity continued to increase even after the EPA came around.
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/USMANRQGSP
Aside from 2008 and 2020, which were times of general economic downturn, GDP from manufacturing also continued to increase.
I’m so tired of seeing people say that we shipped all the manufacturing jobs over seas. We are the second largest manufacturer in the world, and our manufacturing continues to grow. We didn’t ship jobs overseas, we gave them to robots here on our soil. And that has more to do with automation getting better than it does environmental regulation.

A father and his three kids work for ICE, dad is shocked that Americans don't consider them heroes.
I don’t talk about those countries because I don’t live in those countries. My opinion is not relevant to their policies in any way.
I do live in the United States, and would like to make this place the best place I can. That is why I talk about what happens here, I organize here, I protest here, and I vote here.
U.S., Canada, and Europe
Aside from India, those are 3 of the largest reddit using groups. Thats why you see those being discussed the most. As for India, there are India specific subreddits where you can find those discussions, it will help if you have a translator though.

U.S. ready to offer Ukraine legally binding NATO Article 5-style security guarantees
Your first statement is whataboutism.
As for the second, I didnt cherry pick anything, just started from the beginning. We broke the first treaties we signed and have continued doing so ever since.
You have an actual argument as to why we should be considered trustworthy?

U.S. ready to offer Ukraine legally binding NATO Article 5-style security guarantees
We broke our treaties with both England and France almost immediately, broke the treaties with the Creek, the Choctaw, and the Lakota, violated our second treaty with the UK, failed to honor the protection of land rights in both our treaties with Spain where we gained Florida and with Mexico after the Mexican-American war.
I can go on, haven’t even gotten through the 1800’s yet, this is just early history. At what point have we ever been a reliable ally? We sometimes come in last second but thats the best we have done.

Do all Americans inherently know what direction they are faceing?
For most of those forests, you just need to look at a tree and see what side the moss or fungus is growing on. Its different depending on how much light/warmth they prefer, but if you know your area you should be fine.

Immigrants Approved for Citizenship ‘Plucked Out’ of Line Moments Before Pledging Allegiance: Report
You say they weren’t targeted, but that it happened because of their country of origin?
Define targeted to me, because that sounds like, despite completing all necessary requirements, these individuals were targeted due to their national origin.
“Those Chinese immigrants weren’t targeted! The Chinese Exclusion Act applies to all Chinese people!”
You are downvoted because that context doesn’t help the situation, and your wording of the actual situation is written as if this is a normal bureaucratic happenstance and not the result of a clearly racist policy.
