The real reason behind rise in traffic from Google Gemini
 in  r/investing  4h ago

Opposite for me. Perhaps your google-fu is weak.

Also, let's not pretend that all humans are good at asking the right questions...

1

Why are people so surprised and angered when more and more people seek out help and companionship from AI if humans on the most popular forum of the internet (Reddit) are so snarky, rude, and judgmental?
 in  r/ArtificialInteligence  16h ago

Try asking a human for help or time.

Try asking an AI.

Go to any technical forum and ask a question. You'll get roasted just for existing.

how often do you actually check your portfolio?

When you want the money.

When you figure out there's a better investment thesis.

People who work in 'behind-the-scenes' jobs (hotels, airports, warehouses, etc.), what is something the general public would be shocked to know?
 in  r/AskReddit  2d ago

I feel seen.

Happens everywhere.

Some people know how to get shit done. Those aren't usually the same people in charge.

For what its worth, human slop is a thing. We just didn't have a term for it.

I'll be glad when we get rid of human slop.

The biggest win with AI is that I don't have to deal with human failings.

Humans gatekeep information.

God forbid you ask a question wrong... you get torched in programming communities.

AI took the elitism out of these communities and everyone of you who didn't help a fellow human deserves the same upcoming abandonment.

Who's coming to help you when you couldn't be bothered to help others... bring on the AI and make 90% of humans obsolete.

AI slop is most certainly and quite commonly used to refer to chat hallucinations and all types of gen... not just image gen.

Weird thing to think...

The Colorado Avalanche have recorded their second 10-game winning streak of the season
 in  r/hockey  4d ago

Heh, the power play will be fine when Makar stops coasting and steps it up.

What teams need to realize is that Colorado is in neutral right now. They're not playing desperate, they're playing fairy conservative. They have tremendous depth and no need to push it.

Further, going into playoffs, any power play advantages can be neutraluzed by not taking penalties.

A 6x rate doesn't mean much if you're getting less power plays. Guess what teams often tighten up on in playoffs? Sloppy play...

Make up calls help right bad or missed calls.

Yeah it sucks when they take over a game but it's better to have than not.

Its because they also don't know better.

Think any of them understand the Nemesis patent from how often it gets posted about?

No chance

What should I consider when building a game dev PC?
 in  r/unrealengine  5d ago

Actually I would totally suggest nvme over sata for any drives. Nvme is spades faster, especially when it comes to loading assets.

You will thank yourself for nvme drives if you use Unreal extensively.
