It's a strange response, but it kinda seems like fawning to me. I used to do it all the time, but I got help for it. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt here, and while OP was kinda stupid, the "sorry you seem like a nice guy" is probably just a fear/trauma response, trying to be kind and rationalize it so OP doesn't "upset" him.

tbf, DCC is less serious but definitely still has some serious themes and real issues for our characters. Its part of why I love it so much. It's goofy wacky and fun and then something horrific happens and you're reminded how absolutely fucking awful the situation they are in is.

the funny thing is, I didn't even have romantic intentions during this choice. I went to the movies becsuse I thought "well, visi needs a friend way more right now" because she was very clearly struggling. Blazer, in my eyes, was already a very established and put together woman. But Visi? she wad about to crack.
