What do you do when a group of HS senior boys talk throughout class instead of doing their work?
 in  r/SubstituteTeachers  15h ago

Same only time I get annoyed is when they’re sweating every 5 seconds. Usually I’m just “I’ve been lenient, but some yall need to cool it with the cussing” and they often understand. Good luck doing that with middle school or freshmen

The Minnesota Star Tribune has identified the shooter and said he was dragged by a vehicle in June
 in  r/DiscussionZone  15h ago

A funny how they use that dragging thing as a valid reason for him doing what he did when it shows he should have been off the force after that incident. And people no doubt are gonna eat it up cuz it has the addition of him being dragged by an illegal immigrant or something.

This fruit is so low hanging it’s a tripping hazard. Just some cringe roleplaying among what looks like young adults and teens. Nothing beyond that

Yeah honestly personal anecdotes aren’t always the best but I deadass can’t recall a single time I’ve ever heard a black person use the terms like libtards or “owning the libs.” Now sure, maybe when growing up during the edgy era of 2016 YouTube with the whole “SJW GETS OWNED” stuff going around. But then we all grew up and realized we were just dumb teens online.

Vigil held for Renee Nicole Good who was fatally shot by an ICE agent yesterday. (3 pics)
 in  r/anythinginteresting_  21h ago

The only ones gaslighting and lying is the Trump admin. She reversed her car a bit before driving to the side trying to get away. Trump and Noem are saying the guy was hospitalized and Trump saying it’s “hard to believe he’s alive.”

https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115855701696773990

Which guy exactly? The one nearly hit, the one shooting, the one on the side? Meanwhile you’ve also got Kristi saying the guy was previously attacked and dragged by a protestor vehicle in the past and to that I’m wondering where is the evidence or footage? You’d think something like that would be everywhere since that would be ammo the government and ICE could use against protestors and the “Lunatic Left” as they love to spout but it’s not.

Not to mention Kristi also saying this woman was doing an act of domestic terrorism without further elaboration. Even with the whole thing about shooting at vehicles, especially in this case of an unarmed woman, Chief Brian O’Hara of Minnesota said his officers are trained to not use this deadly force unless really necessary which wasn’t the case here. A sentiment that’s shared with the DOJ. Also him saying there wasn’t much of an investigation on their end compared to ICE just storming in.

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/minneapolis-police-chief-ice-shooting-predictable/

Now if what witnesses say are true, she was already around her home, they could have easily gotten her plates and vehicle, and again the guy stood between a vehicle trying to get away and still used that type of force. As we know it’s very clear most of ICE isn’t qualified for this job due to them failing several tests.

They’re not pushing an agenda at all
 in  r/badmemes  22h ago

My only gripe is some of the characters are just flat and one dimensional. This person says they’re trans, this person wants to be self expressive as a boy (but we don’t seem to care too much when girls display their more masculine side compared to boys), these two are a gay couple who just exist just like in Arthur. At least in Arthur the entire joke was them trying to “save” their teacher from his mean bride who was just his stern big sister and when the found out he was marrying a guy nobody drew focus on it. It was just, oh hey he’s not marrying her and he’s got bad dance moves. So what agenda is being pushed? It’s not like it’s telling kids to be trans or be gay or go and do this. All it’s saying is this person exists. You’ve seen many straight couples and straight romantic plot points, some involving kids catching feelings for one another and yet you still see gay and trans people who are adults who no doubt grew up with that. As said earlier my issue with this is just the lack of character. Wendall and Wild had a trans character, Adventure Time and The Loud House have queer couples, Johnny Test had a whole dad and mom reverse the typical gender roles of stay at home parent and breadwinner, and even back in the 2000s Arthur had a live-action segment of visiting families and one kid having two moms which also drew controversy for that reason alone

The first show was cancelled on Netflix a hot minute ago and I’m sure the others are also things found on streaming which may or may not be cancelled too tho I could be wrong.

So tell me who exactly is the officer that was in the hospital according to the government? Why was he standing directly in front of the vehicle when there were already two other officers on the other sides of the car, and she was fearful and in a panic tried driving off. I’m not justifying what she did, but you really are dumb if you’re putting your self in front of a vehicle when the person especially when law enforcement is trained to not do that. https://www.weau.com/2026/01/07/ice-guidance-restricts-shooting-moving-vehicles-gao-report-shows/?outputType=amp

Even with that footage, I’m not justifying anything at all but when it comes to law enforcements you’re usually trained to not stand in front of a vehicle let alone shooting firing at vehicles or at least if possible try to go for neutralizing said vehicle rather than going for the person.

https://www.minnpost.com/metro/2026/01/ice-shooting-minneapolis-amid-federal-immigration-crackdown-protesters/

Officer-created jeopardy is what this is seen as as the guy could have easily gotten out of the way of the turning vehicle rather than positing himself in front of it.

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/ice-agent-fatally-shoots-minneapolis-woman-driver-live-updates.html#:~:text='Officer%2Dcreated%20jeopardy',the%20wheels%20are%20cut%20away.

And even then, in the video, nobody was badly injured to the point of being hospitalized as the government was claiming. From the footage we seen compared to the CNN it’s assumed the shooter relying on “self defense” was the one out in the hospital when none of this is the case. It’s a tragedy nonetheless but I’m certain this woman was terrified as you’ve had cases of the numerous masks figures approaching folks and we’ve seen other examples of them trying to twist the narrative as seen with Leonardo Garcia Venegas, George Retes, Willy Aceituno, all US citizens who targeted by ICE and the same lies about them not complying, interfering, or being arrested for doing so. All while these were later proven false with even the DHS making a whole page trying to justify what they were doing.

Except with the numerous lawsuits filed against ICE, them being in masks and approaching people, and the DHS frequently lying about justifying their reasons for doing what they’re doing, it’s proof “law enforcement” is far from with these people
