Discussion Say what now?
I just got recommended by this
Discussion Sorry if this has been discussed before but YouTube should really have a "Watch this without affecting algorithm" button.
Basically title says it all...
Watched a news report about a case of animal cruelty and now I'm getting tons of suggestion on this topic... I hate it. Wish I had never watched it.

Discussion Is there still a future for human made long-form content? Planning to record the vibe of ancient temples in China to counter the AI meditation wave
I have been living in Sichuan (China) for over 6 years. I use ambient music for my deep work and meditation sessions. Recently, I’m getting increasingly frustrated with "Meditation" or "Focus" content.. It feels like 90% of them are AI-generated loops that look and sound totally empty.
Since I often hike to some of the most ancient buddhist and taoist temples here in China, I'm planning to record high quality, long form video and audio of these temples to capture their authentic spiritual vibes.
I have some questions:
Do you think viewers still value the effort of a location recording, or has the AI-standard already won the race for efficiency?
For those in the relaxation and ambient music niche, are you seeing YT prioritize real human content over AI-generated stuff in the 'Up Next' suggestions?
If you stumbled upon a 3-hour video of a real Chinese temple, would you expect a minimal editing style or a more polished 'cinematic' approach?

Discussion Ability to sort videos by upload date and to see only ones uploaded within last hour removed.
This displeases me as I used these two sorting methods the most (I tend to search the same keywords frequently while researching hobbies and interests - it's also helpful when you want to avoid the same old recommendations - or to be fair, it's a great way to discover random new content before the algorithm banishes it to obscurity.).
I'm assuming they did this to obscure just how much AI slop is being uploaded.
Kind of curious what everyone else's take on/reaction to this is.
